Please know that this is meant with great affection...

An already feminine bag looks even more so on a burly, bearish guy.

As a friend,,,,even though we don't know each other....I would suggest that there are far better options for you.

Nooooo! I completely agree with you! Thanks for the compliment for the bear thing. I just usually excuse myself because I imagine most of the guys on here are skinny/muscular cuz they fit into LV clothing.

I agree there are better options. Because I want my friend to know that I like the bag and he kept saying I should wear it some time. Otherwise I'd have gone with more masculine options or have sold the bag already and gotten a different kind.

There's no need to excuse yourself. You look great.

I don't fit the skinny / muscular thing either.

I appreciate wanting to make a friend happy, but be honest with him.

There just isn't a lot you can do to "butch" up a white purse.

I just received an invitation to a Christmas LV event at my local store. I have got those invitations before also, but I've never bother to go there. This year I think I will pay them a visit. On the invitation it's written "RSVP" and a email adress. Do someone know what that mean? Do I have to bring the invitation, or can I just tell my name in the door?
-Whats going on at these events? Just drinks and canapes? (I don't drink)

Hi!

RSVP = répondez s'il vous plaît = An answer is requested. (E-Mail them if you want to attend)

You should bring the invitation.

Those events can be fun.

Kind regards,
Oliver

Hi!

That's something you could/should ask them in your E-Mail ;) (But my guess, since I don't know what you're invited to, it's a kind of "cocktail party"-type event - so you should be fine if you choose the hour of your arrival to your liking.)

Kind regards,
Oliver

RSVP means that they want you to send an email or call them confirming that you're attending the event so that your name will be included on the guest list and they will be expecting your arrival.

You can come at anytime during the time stated in the invitation. You can stay for as little as 10 minutes or during the entire duration of the event, most store parties are very casual. No need to dress up, but if you want you can. It's basically a private shopping experience where drinks and small bites will be offered and you can have one on one with your SA or just mingle around without the interference of other patrons during normal business hours. It's basically a way for them to say "You are a (potential) frequent customer, here's an exclusive party invite that will make you will feel special and maybe this will guilt you into buying more from us"

Sometimes bigger stores will have parties hosted by magazines, fashion insiders or a preview or launch of new collection. That can be a bit more formal and the invite can get even more exclusive, usually based on how much you spent.
