I just picked up a Monogram Petite Malle. I went to the New Bond Street Maison and they didn't have any in stock at all.
Walked to Selfridges and spent over an hour with the SA trying to find one with perfect alignment, and eventually looked at 7 of them including 2 that were still sealed in the courier boxes and none of them were aligned to my standards.
I believe when you pay this much for an item, it needs to be PERFECT. Yes, I know they are handmade and can't be perfect every time but I won't settle.
Went to another store and saw one in a glass display case with perfect alignment and purchased it straight away. Asked if they had any other ones in the store, and the only other one they had also was very badly aligned.
So glad that I didn't give up, despite a lot of SA's at Selfridges saying I will never find a perfect one because they're all hand made and it will be impossible.

I am considering this piece in Macassar but I am not sure about the size.
Dorf, I have this piece for 2 years and counting in the DG and I am happy to report it functions the same as day one. I work in retail and attach it to my belt. I am hard on these things as I take the keys on and off about 50 times per day to turn a key at the register it unlock a door. With other pieces from Coach and the like, the clasps would break constantly and would need them to get replaced. It is quite expensive, but I would buy it again in a heartbeat. One of my favorite and most used pieces from LV.
