The price is crazy low. If it is in good shape then you should definitely pull the trigger. I think this is going out of production.I have the opportunity to buy this second-hand PDV GM for 768 € / 861 $ / £ 661. Hmm... Should I pull the trigger? The bag looks fine on the pictures..

Me too, this year the quality of their products has decreased rapidly. Its very apparent with their new products and the cheaper materials that they've been using. Every products I've bought in the last two months I've had to take back so I've made the decision to stop buying LV.
Anyone has quality issues. No doubt about that. But with LV it is getting excessive. I don't blame them or anything, obviously because they are such a big brand that produces so many items. It is bound to happen.
With Hermes, yeah there are quality issues, but still not as common. And when there is, Hermes really hooks you up and fixes the issue right away. I just had this crack looking thing with my Hermes bag 2 weeks ago. I had no idea what it was. In 5 minutes the woman brought it back saying it is fixed. The service was absolutely impeccable and the artisans really have great knowledge about the materials they are working with. I think they have an in store artisan at each of their flagship locations specifically if anyone comes in with a smaller issue. It is much better than the whole "sending back to Paris for 3 months" ordeal.
The perk about LV is that they are more elaborate and fun. Very clever with their designs and they have an AMAZING creative director. I just wish they did something about quality control.
I have had a handful of quality issues over the past several months on multiple products; PDV GM, iPhone case, Gaspar wallet, Michael backpack. I have been buying LV off and on since 2000 and there is a definite decline in quality and overall longevity when I compare the pieces I have owned over the years. My SA always takes care of me but it just shouldn't be happening so frequently.
Ugh definitely all bad news... sorry you had to deal with this. I have not experienced anything like that and I hope I never do. I haven't purchased anything since June and probably won't buy anything until Spring. I ll be on the lookout for potential issues.Joining this discussion late- mainly because I have felt so disillusioned at LV and really hesitant now to buy anything at all from them.
I considered myself fortunate that I had never had quality issues- then, all of a sudden, I had several issues in a row.
First, I had a reversible belt with a faulty mechanism. My SA was wonderful and had it repaired. Then, I had a striped polo where the red dye used wasn't adequate and the color bled into the white. My SA told me this was a known issue. I am getting a credit but haven't found another RTW piece that I like yet.
And the worst was that I had a monogram blue pocket organizer with the red and white stripe that had an issue. I never put my wallets in my pocket, only in my bags, and use them sparingly. Well, the glazing started to lift. Again, my SA sent it off for repair. However, the repair department said it was a known issue and could not be repaired. I was issued a credit and purchased the toiletry pouch in monogram eclipse.
My SAs are WONDERFUL and take great care of me- but these issues shouldn't be happening at all. It really has halted my spending at LV considerably. I feel like many of you above and concur that I'd rather spend a bit more for higher quality with Hermès.
I got it from the ssense website. Its a Fendi Python Micro Backpack.Where did you get the bag charm?
2nd or 3rd hole, depending on what I wear and how low or high it is on my waist. 110 cm would work as well, that fits on the 2nd to last hole...
