I think I need therapy--but maybe someone can allay my concerns:

After using my DG 6-key holder and DG neo portes cartes for more than a year I have began worrying about them rubbing against the inside of my messenger bag. Now, I have begun obsessively putting them in their LV dust bags before putting them in the messenger bag. (Of course, I don't currently see any signs of wear or damage)

It's ridiculous; now I have to get them out of the messenger bag and then take them out of the dust bag to use them! But if I don't, I worry about what is rubbing against them.

Please assure me that the DG canvas is sufficiently durable that I need not worry!

Dude seriously... how can you ever enjoy yourself with such a crazy routine?
These are meant to be used. They will show some wear and tear after a few years, but literally WHO CARES?? They are tiny pieces of leather and coated canvas that will end up falling apart like everything else in this universe, including you and me.

Fabuleux: you've nailed it! I'm NOT enjoying them now. (Hence my plea for help!) [emoji51]

I don't know why this obsessiveness began. I think I've just seen so many "beat up" examples around that I don't want that happening to mine.

I'm going to take a deep breath and leave the dust bags behind today. Que sera sera! Thanks!

I put mine SLGs in my pochette jour pm before I put them in my bags

Lol for real...? I throw all my SLG's into my christopher on a daily basis and I have 2 cosmetic pouches that just chill in the bag, and usually a card holder and a larger wallet or pouch that just go in the fabric pocket. Never once have I seen wear on any of my SLGs because of them being thrown in my bad and I'm pretty rough on my SLGs. Just enjoy your pieces like fab said.

I appreciate knowing that your SLGs are holding up well. Makes me more comfortable going ahead and using them as intended and not babying them.

I don't think you need to worry about your SLG being ruin from being kept inside the bag. If anything, accidentally dropping them on the cement floor, throwing them across the room will surely cause some wear eventually.
