looks great.. do you have a before photo>?

i only tried meltonian delicate cream on chanel lambskin (works good) and on hermes box leather (mistake! - dont try)

i need to find a good polish for the box leather

wow, amazing! thanks for sharing. your vintage chanel looks really good now. the big scratch at the back looks almost gone.

think i am going to get black, red & delicate meltonian creams from ebay, might as well get all the different colours at 1 go. besides the creams in the small jars, do you think i should get the meltonian cleaner & conditioner ( in a white bottle) as well or the creams will be enough?

not sure if you are aware but there is a thread here that has this lady giving great advice on how to treat hermes leather. you can google for it. loads of people asked for advice and showed the before & after photos afterwards, the bags look amazing.

I did my bag yesterday night... first I cleaned the bag with Cadillac lotion first after that I applied the Woly black leather cream to the whole outer part of the bag except the straps...It was quite impressive to see the color restored and the scratch at the back pocket improved a lot and no longer obvious.. . after leaving it overnight.. I applied Kiwi Express Shine just now for a nice subtle shine.... the texture of the leather was pretty much the same (which was awesome!) :D

wow! this is exactly what I want to do! Already had Cadillac so will buy woly and kiwi on eBay also just purchased the black meltonian. Thank you so much for sharing! Have you checked for any transfer of the black onto clothes etc?

Wow it looks fantastic!!!! Awesome DIY restoration

Thank you very much... I've never done this but a bunch of thanks for all those ladies who shared their experiences on these products.... I love vintages and now I can get more and do a bit of DIY if necessary to help it look great again! :D

As you can see I did'nt use meltonian but Woly instead since I needed a black leather cream and it was available locally at shops in Kuala Lumpur...
Since I wanted to do it now I just went ahead with what I could get my hands on now... but I like Woly... the cream smell nice ;)
I did put before photos but I'll put them up in one post so that you can see the difference, the back was pretty faded but my Iphone did'nt manage to capture it that well... at the end the color was very even...

Honestly I like Woly leather cream more... since the smell of Meltonian is awfully strong... :p So after using Woly, I prefer it more... but I will definitely try my Neutral Meltonian when I have the chance :)
I've don't have Meltonian cleaner & Conditioner, so I am not too sure... I've used Cadillac Boot & Shoe Care Lotion only right now.... I don't know if both of them have similar effect? Anybody have tried them before? :smile1:

You and I are in exactly the same predicament! Except I got myself into this mess by using more products on my vintage lambskin jumbo than I should have - including meltonian delicate - which I really don't recommend for making your chanel more vibrant and 'blacker' which is what I'm after. Interested to see if anyone has tried using the black colour of the creams to add colour back into a fading vintage… wish I could just send it to chanel but I'm in Sydney and that service isn't offered at all. There's a place called My Bag Spa in Melbourne but it has such mixed reviews I'm not willing to trust them with such an expensive bag!

What happened to your bag actually? I'm curious.. what happens when you used too much of meltonian delicate on your jumbo?

Hi :) would you say that the same effect might be reached with using the black then? I might give it a shot as I'd really like to intensify the black of my vintage LS jumbo. Have you had any problems with the navy rubbing off/transfer? Thank you!

Probably, although I do not own a jar of the black, just the navy for my navy lamb Chanel. I did not apply to the entire bag, just the corners where the colors had rubbed off a bit due to use and it absorbed right up without any rub off or color transfers.:smile1:

Nothing major, but I felt like each time I used it (not close together and not a whole lot of it - small amounts) rather than nourishing the bag, it seemed to draw out the black dye leaving it a faded black/dark brown. Not noticeable at all in dim lighting, but if under bright lights/day light then it definitely bothers me a bit. Also think a bit of UV damage which may be why the leather looks a little dry on top. Back side of the bag is perfect though! Shame its not the other way around! This is why I want to add some colour and shine back into it :). Have you used the bag yet? - Any colour transfer on clothing?
