They don’t seem to come up very often, do they? The leather is pretty stiff BTW.
Yes, the leather looks to be of this ilk. Probably why I hesitated. I just love how they look, but imagine it's not user-friendly. Blackouts have a tighter entry than regular cities, and you know their nuclear magnets require full time effort to keep the bag from shutting. Combine that with the stiff leather, getting my laptop in and out will be a chore.
All of the above. I’m going to try Leather CPR’s directions for softening leather. I did it once before on a stiff bag and it worked very well.
These bags always look like a cheap fake to me. No offense to those who have and love, just doesn't feel very BAL-like.
You all know I love the Metallics. That means I also love shiny satin. I finally went for a satin city. I spent all morning trying to capture the color but crapphone has other plans. The closest is probably the last photo, though still off the mark. This is deep, dark berry red. In photos it looks like a true red, but it’s got blue in it. Nothing like the brick red of the first photo. Everything about this bag is exquisite. The color, the sheen, the hardware. And very light.

This one's from f/w 2016. They also made them around 2004~2005, though not sure if they came in the City. I mainly saw them in the shoulder style and the mini classique.
