Here’s an interesting one. This is a 2008 Magenta City. I’ve always loved 08 magenta because they frequently have what looks more like gorgeous F/W 2007 leather. My personal conspiracy theory, based on zero evidence, is that some 2008 bags were made of leftover F/W 2007 chevre leather.
As much as I’ve loved 08 magenta leather, I haven’t been as crazy about the color, much preferring the 05 magenta color. Until I saw this listing. The leather looks like F/W 07 chevre like many other magentas, but somehow the color is darker and more luscious. Almost like a lighter version of pourpre, but still saturated (thank you, crapphone, for reliably washing out the color). I had to have it.
Lo and behold, this full set T season bag came with a f/w 2007 chevre paper card and pocketed mirror. Of course it’s still a s/s 2008 bag, but the card is feeding my theory that they used leftover 07 leather in 08.
EDIT: NEVERMIND! Just torpedoed my conspiracy theory. The paper card belongs to a First and couldn't be this bag's.
Make of it what you will! I’ll be busy petting it for the foreseeable future.

Speaking of beaten up bags...
The faded and very distressed Blue Jean First, that was on VC earlier this month, arrived.
Not in a rush to fix the corner tears, tbh - feels a lil rock 'n roll.
... I know it's only rock 'n roll, but I likeit the bag just the way it is!
(Strap and the bag/its busted top zipper will be dropped off at a local repair place tomorrow though, aha.)

Doesn't look that faded to me. One of the better blue jeans I've seen.

Really had no business buying this but couldn't pass up what looks to be a key chain coin purse. And I have always loved this leather!

🩶 F/W 2011 LE Argent Fonce Metallic City 🩶 Gorgeous grey accented with brushed steel HW. Metallic has light blue steel undertones that is not being captured properly in my pics. Just know it’s there.

Looks like one from that 2014 collection of rubberized bags.
So I broke two rules to get this pretty green bag, 1) Don’t buy anything else with GHW, and 2) don’t buy anything that doesn’t come with its mirror. Glad I did though, the color is gorg:
