OK, I love the carres, I love the twillys, I love the GM shawls and the gavroches. But I don't get the maxi twillys. They are somehow too showy, too bright, too big, and too much. Am I crazy? I tried on a few at the store but they only had a few available. Am I just trying the wrong ones? I do tend to like the more subtle patterns (Tresors Retrouves, Photo Finish, Ors Bleus d'Afrique, and the like), so maybe the maxis are just not for me?

OH, and I'm a tiny little petite person, just 5'2". But surely that isn't a factor here? Anyway, I feel like a girl playing dress-up with the things.

I know, I know -- more for everyone else. The first store I went to to try them had sold out in two days!

I wasn't sure about the maxi twillies at first either. I'm just a little taller than you, and I thought it would hang down really low on me and look silly. But I purchased a black Brazil and I love it. I think it doesn't look too overpowering on me wrapped once around the neck and then tied down the front. But the way I really love it is wrapped around the neck a few times like a turtleneck. I am always freezing cold in my house, and this is a great way to stay warm. Maybe the black colorway helps to diminish the flashiness.

It's been a while since I've seen lagoon but I think this maxi is greener than lagoon is.

Ok thanks! I was also hoping it was lighter like in the Hermes video! My boutique called yesterday so I will go see it today! Yay!
