Max Mara Whitney Bag

Just wanted to share my love for this bag! I am an architect so of course i had to get this bag! I’m getting a second one in ice as well. I just it. Its an easy grab n go bag. I prefer the clutch style than the one with the top handles. I use this more than my cc, dior n h even. Perhaps coz it’s better priced that i am not too afraid to use it daily. Have had it for more than a year and they still look great eventhough the leather is smooth. The close up photo was just taken today

Wow your bags are stunning. I have the same one with no handles in my cart ready to check out. Just doing a little bit of research first. I’m glad I found your post. No doubt I’m going collect several colours!

Thank you so much. I really love this bag! Apart from the fact that it’s designed by an Architect (as i am working as one as well), it’s just really a unique, understated bag. Unlike the many many chanels around Love the matt silver hw finish too. Only complaint is that the zipper is not as smooth as i liked it to be. What colour are you getting

Hi there, this is definitely the perfect bag for you! I got it in red which is my favourite colour. I called my local boutique and ordered it through them. We spoke about the zipper not being very smooth since I have heard this several times. They are going to treat the zipper for me with a transparent wax their seamstress uses to make zippers glide easily for their clothing items. They didn’t have red in the boutique so they ordered it in, then once they receive it and treat the zipper they will send it to me. I would also like to get it in white which they don’t have this season (they have ivory but I want a real white) and black and if they ever do it in the powder blue again I’d like that as well. I also like the tobacco… haha the list is long!

Hi! I absolutely love the Whitney bag. I’ve had a small brown one that I’ve been wearing for years. Yesterday, while in Milan, I went to check out their updated design for the 10th anniversary, loved it so much that I ended up getting the new medium size 🤩

Each bag now comes with a rain cover, which is so rare these days among luxury brands. They also gifted me a limited edition twilly and a metal accessory for attaching charms. I also learned that Renzo Piano designs does all his sketches with green pencil, so this is why they featured the bag sketch in green on both the Twilly and the dustbag 🙂

The updated design now features two zip pockets on the sides in addition to the main zip compartment, great for added security, especially if you live in a big city. Plus, the strap is much wider than before, making it far more comfortable to wear, especially for medium and larger sizes.

Now my small Whitney has a sister 👯‍♀️

Thank you! Yes, the details are top-notch! The only thing compared to the OG version (like the small one I have), the red lining used to be Alcantara, now it’s just microfiber matching the outer color… I also think they’re priced very well, given today’s luxury brands prices, with the largest size they carry priced just 2000€ max

In Canada, the new wicker version is over 3500 euros (equivalent) before adding the 15% tax. 😭

I guess eu prices are a lot better!

Wow love your new bag! The rain cover, twilly and dustbag are a really nice touch. I have 5 Whitneys but i bought them a few years ago and none of them came with these special touches. Might need to get another one now!
