Matte Black Hardware...

For those who have bags with matte black hardware, do you find yourselves having to be extra careful? I just got my all-black Twist MM today and am wondering how well the hardware will hold up. Does the hardware scratch easily? If scratched, do you see silver or gold coloring underneath? Any insight is much appreciated.

I have matte hardware on my petite malle and haven’t had any issues yet. I’m definitely careful with my bags though.

My SA told me to be careful with the hardware when I got my black hardware petite malle (like without me even asking)...so I definitely think you need to be careful.

I used to be more concerned about the leather strap looking kinked, but it has gotten more supple so wearing better than I thought. I think the only way it could show scratches or chipping on the hardware is if it was scraped on a hard surface or with careless use, but I’m not rough, nor over cautious with my bags.
