Hi everyone! Thought I would share my other purchase just prior to the holidays. This is the midi Selene in African Bronze, Gold HW, with Cappuciono lining. I initial wanted the light Gold, but based on email problems my request was not received until after the bag shipped. However, I love the Cappuciono with the Bronze! It's a great combination.

I've tossed my Amaranto Phoebe in the midi Selene, along with a water bottle, my mobile phone, snacks for the day and I'm good to go to run errands, go shopping etc. I wasn't sure how this style would work, but I am loving the tote since I often out of the house for meetings, work, gym, etc. and always end up tossing a few extras into my Selene which she can completely handle. The shoulder straps stay in place no matter how much I stuff in the bag.

I will be ordering another Phoebe to better match the Bronze leather. Maybe a Taupe?

The African Bronze leather is beautiful and very, very durable. I've owned other metallic bags that seemed so much more delicate than this leather.

Finally, I want to thank everyone who helped me to make my decisions! You ladies (Lovie, Moonie, VanBod and so many others) have been so incredibly helpful, providing your ideas and insights and I could not be more grateful! Thank you and Happy New Year!

Dmarie those Selenes are gorgeous love the Amaranto with the turquoise lining. The bronze Midi is gorgeous. Thank you so much for the lovely photos. I love both your bags!!!!! I might be a little biased as I have the Amaranto midi Selene and the lead Midi Selene. The more I use the midi Selene the more I like the style.

A couple of additional comments, Marco suggested the Turquoise lining and at first I wasn't sure, concerned it would look too much like the U.S. flag, but I don't feel that way at all and really love the color which I would have never choose in a million years.

Second, this is some really durable leather. I must say I have not been kind to my Selene having been traveling for over 10 days and she looks brand new. Not a scratch, mark or mare. She's been pushed under airplane seats, sat on convention center floors, etc., plopped down in all different types of venues and looks great. I should be kinder to her, but it's great to know this leather can take a beating and continue to look fabulous!

Oh Dmarie! This is sooooooooooooo beautiful! I LOVE the Turquoise with it too! I am not getting a flag vibe either.......now if it was dark blue lining, maybe but this Turquoise is such a unique color, when I look at mine I see some grey undertones to it (at least my eye does, lol, who knows) but I think that is why it looks so good with your red Amaranto!


What a relief that you were not overly gentle with her and she really handled it well. Last week it was such a windy snow blowing everywhere day here that as I left work I had a misstep because I literally could not see with the snow blowing in my face and my Selene went flying off me. I wiped her down the second I could and there was absolutely no sign of wear either! Love these Marco leathers! I was so relieved and now I am so relieved to read what you wrote too!

Stunning! Awesome photos by the way. I love the bronze ... it's such a unique leather and I love the colour. I think it looks really nice with the lining too. Congrats! Two gorgeous bags!

Dmarie -- Thank you SO much for showing the cappuccino lining! I think I like that better than the gold lining. I'm going to switch to cappuccino lining from now on. I'm so glad you love the African bronze. I love it too! Can't wait to see what color Phoebe you get. You're leaning toward the taupe? Actually, I can't stop staring at your Amaranto. That turquoise lining is just amazing with that red. :happydance:

Unlike the midi, I like the cinched look of the full size Selene. According to Marco, this is the only dark brown nappa ever made!! True love!!
