MARLI New York

Marli is extremely popular in a sub-set of the Middle East, yet hasn’t caught on in US, particularly in NYC. I’ve always wondered, if their advertising campaigns in the Middle East were more compelling than their American one’s or if Van Cleef (Alahambra particularly) has a stranglehold, that makes Marli’s strong cubist line‘s not in style.

I’ve noticed the same. I wonder if they’ve invested more in their ME marketing efforts than in US. The only reason I stumbled upon it was when walking through Saks. VCA certainly has more feminine designs, but Marli’s designs are unique. I’m in love.

They’re beautiful. I’ve been eyeing hoops from the same line. What kind of turquoise do they use? If it’s sleeping beauty, I would go for the turquoise, as the mine is closed, so it may not be available infinitely.

Thank you, Nicole! The YG bracelet is a weave bracelet from Tiffany in the 80s. I felt the same way when I saw it. It’s as if I once admired it on posh mom’s friend, maybe.
I love the whole wrist eye candy situation! I’m excited to hear which bracelet you decide on! Green and yellow are my favorite colors, and turquoise and lapis are also very pretty, so its hard to pick from these choices!

Did you end up deciding on a stone for your bracelet? I love the green but I wish it was more shiny/polished.
I actually bought the lapis from a jeweler…and then promptly returned it. I still think the pieces are gorgeous. Unfortunately, wearing the diamond Marli bracelet with my other diamond bracelets looked too dressy on me. Even when I wore them on different arms, it was far dressier than the rest of my look. I am casually dressed 99% of the time. Maybe a ring from the collection will be better suited for me? I agree with you regarding the jade. I wish it had more shine. It’s still beautiful though. It looks similar to a Brazilian emerald. The yellow quartzite was also one of my faves.

I know what you mean, I’m not quite sure if it would go with the rest of my stack. I also love the yellow, and perhaps that would be nice for a more casual look. It reminds me a lot of a beloved amber bracelet that no longer fits me.
