Definitely less stress!! I can throw the MT bag around without fear of being damaged. I have kids in tow and I simply can't use my Hermes bags as nonchalantly as Ms Victoria B. The MT is definitely a workhorse in terms of wearability. I'm not sure of the durability though as the construction and workmanship is a little bit sloppy (for that kind of price).

MT is definitely slouchier and has a more laidback look. That's why I bought it even though I own a Birkin. I think they are completely different- MT is to be worn with a more rocker/chic attitude. Hermes for dressier occasions. MT for everyday and work.

I agree with you -- as far as looks go... However, in use, the bag has been an amazing workhorse. I've used the large size at least every other day as a grocery bag, in all sorts of weather (even torrential rain), and it still looks like the day I got it.

I had been hoping it would break in a little, look mushier and slouchier, but no. It still looks brand new... Kind of amazing, that, especially as I have not babied it at all.

Oh good, I feel better that someone else that is use to our favorites is biting the bullet. I just kept thinking that the price is half of another LV or Balenciaga and I have so many on my wish list at the moment.
Then, again, I am excited too; I think we will like something a little different!

hey cachu.

in the daylight, it's pretty much a true dark purple like an eggplant almost..in some dim lighting situations, it looks like a very dark brown.

here's a pic with no flash but indoors with no daylight and halogen lights above.

i thought the violet would be closer to black, but yes i can see that your pic captured the gorgeous color! i guess neither can go wrong...which makes even harder to make a decision~.

i have hesitated to place an order because of some negative feedback, but since many MT owners are also Balenciaga owners (i am one of them;)), if they love it (durable, light-weight, edgy-casual chic, etc.), then that sort of assures me that it would be a lovely everyday bag for me, too.

i'm a bal owner too..the leathers are different but just as lovely.
