true. it was interesting reading the fashion history and trivia tidbits, but other than that, the book is certainly not groundbreaking. i'm drawn to chanel because of the marketing. no kidding!

xi, you've got me wanting to call gabby about the fall 07 ombre ostrich stam now, but i'm going to resist. $4500 is a lot of money. i'd have to sell off a few things in my collection and i love everything too much to do that.

My voice of reason! :hugs: I only have my eye on 2 spring bags (Kristina and Christine -- both are Bruna-ish). I am very happy with what I have right now so I don't think I will sell any of my bags. It is a chunk of change but I can fit it in the budget (I think!). Do you think this bag will be available at 50% off again in the next year or so? I saw this in red at NM in Vegas and I really liked it...but of course, sans the $5.5k price tag.

You know Tad, I am drawn to Chanel as well (definitely thanks to marketing). But somehow, I cannot justify spending more than $2k for it. I feel like MJ bags give me the best bang for my buck, and not to mention his designs are just tdf!

Call Gabby just to inquire. Let me know what you find out! If I had your collection, I wouldn't want to sell anything either.

i need to share my woe with you bonnie. i SO WANT the galliera GM and a good deal fell through so now i am back to square one. i also LOVE the black denim line :drool: but can't afford it.

Oh Dawn, I love the black denim line too. I want a Neo Cabby MM but I always get distracted by other things and somehow never get around to actually buying it!

You need to welcome 2009 with a new bag, MJ or not :graucho:.

^oh dawn....I am sorry it fell through! The galliera gm is G-G-Gorgeous!! Oh and don't get me started on the denim neo cabby!!! I have wanted one for the longest time but can't bring myself to pay that amount of $$$ for a denim bag!!!! I feel you pain babe!!

I agree with you baglover, anything over $1k is outrageous for denim and just a few pieces of leather...

Thanks Indi! That double reveal is really dangerous. I am trying to find a window to call BG (hubby is right next to me!!!).

i just can't seem to find THE RIGHT bag. i can't pay LV prices. unless it was a Damier ebene speedy 35 but i am not a hand held person but i love it so much! arrrrrrrrrrgh. lordie. see what this does to me. i'm like a drug addict!
