hello my loves!!!
we are back from PA. traffic on I-95 was soooo bad (about 30 miles of bumper-to-bumper!) but we're so happy to be home.

my sister LOVED the black faridah and matching wallet. she got teary-eyed and gave me such a big hug. i miss her so much already!

we had a great time. i finally saw twilight (with my mom and sister), we did a little shopping, ate WAY TOO MUCH, and I played Wii with my nephews quite a bit.

I hope you all had a Merry merry merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah!!!!

Welcome home, Dawn! So glad you had such a wonderful time with your family!!

Okay, now it's snowing again and there's ice on the trees. It was 65 here yesterday with thunderstorms all night. Sheesh.

I'm feeling guilty b/c I'm going to exchange one of my gifts from my parents. They obviously spent a lot of time picking out a leather coat for me, but it's just not something I would wear (has to be buttoned and tied to look good and I'm just too darn lazy, lol). I hate having to tell them that b/c I know they were so excited, but I also know how much it was (saw it at Nordies) and don't want them to have wasted their money, KWIM? They actually had a necklace made for me which is one of the best gifts I've ever received. So meaningful and something I'll wear for the rest of my life and always think of them. Everyone was very thoughtful in their gift choices this year so it was really fun to see the reactions as people opened their prezzies. My DH had the idea to have my mom's hooding ceremony program (from her masters graduation) framed and she cried when she opened it. You know you did good when the recipient cries!

I was stressing out about what to fix my in-laws and extended family tomorrow b/c I'm still feeling pretty lousy and not really up to cooking for a big group, and my sweet hubby secretly called and made reservations for everyone for brunch at our country club so I wouldn't have to worry about it. *hugs him*

aww, dawn. so happy to hear you had a wonderful time and that your gift made your sister so happy. you're an awesome sister to have, no doubt.

i ate waaaayyy too much during the holidays too. my bf and i gained so much weight, but we're so happy. haha! exercise time.

i really do love hearing about how happy everyone's holidays were. i love watching people's reactions when they open gifts. i can't wait to give it to them especially when i know they're really going to love it. your family sounds wonderful, pm. your husband sounds terrific. you're truly blessed.

don't feel badly about the coat. sometimes gifts just don't work out. i'm sure your parents will understand. we all simply want our loved ones to be happy, you know? i wouldn't want my mom or dad keeping something they wouldn't use just cause i bought it for them.

ash, that was so sweet of your parents but i'm sure they wouldn't want you to keep it if you don't love it. you should post pics of the necklace!!!!! how nice of your h to make the dinner reservations!

my husband started getting really sick last night around 6pm and then my youngest nephew got sick later last night. poor dears...h is feeling better today but i'm SOOOO HOPING i don't get it!!!!!

thanks kim....my sister is seriously one of most important people in the world to me and it was so nice to spoil her and watch her face as she opened the MJ bag!!! i could hardly stand the excitement! lol!
