lost is on tonight! :yahoo:
i usually only watch the hollywood episodes and then lose interest. we'll see if that happens again this time. ;)

lol kim, i agree about cosmo. i'm not a fan either. and thank you for believing in me!

cat, amped up gamers on a sugar high? lolol!!!!! which book are you on? i don't know which one was my most favorite...maybe the last one.

i got a free subscription to cosmo and this magazine is so terrible that even though i paid nothing to receive it, it's still not worth it.

my bf is flipping through it right now and the things he's reading to me are hilariously ridiculous. he's dying for you to touch his butt? that's a sex secret? really? is there a standard size for testicles and should they be identical? an orgasm nearly killed a 35 woman is their headlining story. ugh. can it be any more stupid?!

I think things like that set feminism back about fifty years. And the dangerous thing is that they make certain women feel like they're independent and empowered when in reality they're just feeding into the same old bull$h!t. *steps off soapbox* Okay, off to put kiddos to bed. And yes, Dawn IS going to kick a$$!!!!!!!!!!:woohoo:

in case anyone's interested, I posted the S/S bags in the reference thread this afternoon -- it took me a while, but I had to share em all with my PF buds! (I've been drooling over them for a week now!!)

dawn, yep, a whole bunch of gamers have taken over my dining room table. It's the semi monthly gathering of the social inept lol. DH is dungeon master of tonight's game, woo hoo lol. It's totally dorky, but it's a pretty harmless hobby, lol. DH has been gaming since high school. If its the worst I have to endure, I guess it's not so bad ;)

cosmo was always a crappy magazine, sounds like things are status quo lol.

dawn, i'm currently reading Definitely Dead. i really like the series!

ooooh thanks for posting the bags!!! i'm gonna go check'em out!

yes, cat, that sounds pretty harmless and i think it's awesome that he geeks out and does his thing. :)

omg, okay, i am already totally in love with the large angela!!!!!!!! it's big and new kind of classic - love love love love. but will have to wait for a sale

thanks again for posting!

Wow!! Huge thanks to iluv for posting all the spring bags!! I'm bowled over by the price of the woven stam:wtf: If I had unlimited funds I would buy the Single in dark grey or bronze, the Reena in black, the Hillary is beige...sigh. A girl can dream, right? Oh, and FYI, the "small" Angela does also come in navy blue:sneaky:

so i wanted to tell you guys about this committee i am part of.

one of my best friends - vicky - lost her baby during delivery in 2007. her family had already formed a non-profit called LLOST (Loss of Loved Ones to a Sudden Tragedy) because her younger brother died in an ATV accident a couple of years before that. So in order to help other families who lose their babies (whether it's a stillborn birth, late pregnancy loss, etc), she started a Treasured Memories Campaign. We will provide memory boxes, books about grief, baby blankets, hand and foot molds for the parents to have something from the baby, etc. These will be distributed to hospitals in our area, as well as a military hospital in Germany. We just formed our committee for Treasured Memories but they've already made one large donation to a local hospital  and donations from people (books, molds, etc) still come in.

here is the site in case you guys want to check it out:
http://www.llost.org/Services/TreasuredMemories/index.html

I am so excited to be part of this with my dear friend and try to reach out to those who need a shoulder or a glimmer of support during such a hard time.

(not asking for donations or anything - just want you guys to check it out) :)

thanks for creating the spring 09 reference thread, ilmb.

guys, i think the gg shopper is named after gossip girl. there's a penn (dan), blake (serena), and the other bag in the collection is named after leighton meester who plays blair on the show!

Dawn, thank you for sharing that. My aunt and a dear friend both had stillbirths and my BFF had a miscarriage in her second trimester. I can't even imagine what your friend went through (especially after losing her brother). This sounds like an amazing group/committee. I'm sure there will be many families who take comfort in the things you're all doing for them at such a difficult time.
