okay can i tell you guys something? i'm not telling anyone IRL except for prob my husband since we live together and he'll figure it out. LOL

i ordered medifast today. i did some searching (several members on here have had success with it) and researching and reading and debating, and decided to try it out. I truly believe i miscarried partly b/c of my weight and that my weight has been why it's been so hard to get pregnant.
i know medifast is drastic, but i'm excited to try it. i ordered for a month so i will see how it goes. i want to get pregnant but know i will have a better chance if i lose weight...not trying to lose 100 lbs in 2 months or anything ;) but just trying to get my weight down quickly. i have a lot of weight to lose and believe that medifast IS for people with a big weight problem like me. I'm also going to talk to my doctor about it this Friday when i go for my check-up.
please don't judge me...i just needed to share with my girls.

oh and can i tell you how happy i am that i don't have to worry about what to make for breakfast and lunch??! i can still have a normal dinner w/my husband (a lean protein and lots of vegetables) which is really awesome too.

If your doc says it's a go, I don't see anything wrong with it! If it can help you lose the weight in a healthy way with your doc overseeing it, it sounds like a valid option. I'm sending lots of hugs and healthy vibes your way as you continue on your weight loss path!! I admire your resolve and I know one way or another you're going to reach your goal!

No judging at all, Dawn! I agree with PM, if your doc gave you the green light, by all means try it. So the personal trainer and working out is not helping you at all?

the personal trainer was great but she is even more expensive than the medifast stuff! 12 sessions with the trainer is about $800, which would last only 6 weeks if i went 2x a week.
i learned a lot from her in the sessions we had so i'll incorporate those. my biggest hardship (really) is eating. if it's planned out, ready to go, etc, then i can do it. i had success on jenny craig years ago but stopped b/c the 'counselor' there blew me off.
again, i know it's drastic, but i need drastic. i need a kick in the pants. others with pcos/diabetes/other hormonal or insulin issues have had success on this so i'm gonna give it a go. i ordered the diabetic plan since it's low-glycemic, which is what i need.

oh - and i'm gonna see how it goes. if i feel like crap, totally hate it, or whatever, i won't continue. but i know i will have an adjustment period at least. ;)
