MAR/APR - Our New Bal Acquisitions

My plan to stay on Ban Island until the end of the month turned into a failed mission. There are two bags that I succumbed to and the “first” arrived today.

This Bal bag’s dust bag is the oldest one I now own (dire need of a fuzzball removal treatment that will be addressed later ).



And now for the bag itself. Introducing a major league HG on the top of my list...

F/W 2001 Black Pebbled Caribou Gold Tag FBF (Season 1) - This is my first Caribou and first Gold Tag. The leather is heavier than I thought it would be and the bag turned out to be in way better condition than I thought too. I little bit of wear on the brass, but overall she’s built like an armored tank ready for battle. Super excited to own and carry this rare Bal black beauty!

Truth be told this one popped up on eBay and it was sheer luck. I couldn't believe my eyes when I first saw it & put it in my cart only stopping to apply a 15% off coupon from the seller. Next, I was notified my transaction was canceled. I went from feeling like I won the Bal lotto to wanting to cry. Seller must of felt my agony b/c they reached out letting me know the bag was not supposed to be 15% off and sent me a new link (no coupon) which I bought immediately with NO REGRETS.

So tough and chic!
