I appreciate that! They're hard to come by in good shape. A perfect one slipped through my fingers when a seller told me 2 weeks after my purchase that it was out of stock.

While I was never a huge fan of the lead zips, I WAS a huge fan of the leather used that season - thick & smooth & buttery soft. I had a Tempete from that season that was probably my most worn Balenciaga moto
I wore it all through the winter layered with hoodies & sweaters underneath!!

I honestly wasn’t expecting it!
I definitely recommend LMB if anyone has an oldie they’re hoping to save

I agree with that general assessment. The leather is fabulous. The zips are clunky and sticky.

Technically, this was a January acquisition, but she had to spend some time in the handbag hospital before I could share
Just got it back from LMB today and I'm so happy with how it turned out
She made improvements I wasn't even expecting

Does the leather feel different after color restoration?

The leather does have a different feel to it, but not in a bad way
The best way I could describe it is less broken in, the way a brand new Bbag feels,
I compared it to my 05 Dolma. This one feels a little thinner/less textured, but not stiff or plasticy
I think (hope) like new leather, it will soften with age & use
The handles, IMO, are exactly like the handles on my Dolma & Violet — nice & firm

I did notice that the rivets were replaced — at least on the backside
Can’t tell if the ones out the outside were replaced. Not sure why — maybe once they’re removed they can’t be reused
Wasn’t someone asking about replacement rivets not too long ago?
