The stiffness of the leather is a big reason I am debating whether or not to cancel my preorder. I partially think the hype is getting to me.

Please think it through carefully! It might not be as expensive as other bags from bigger brands but it's still a lot of money to spend on something you don't really like.

I got caught up in the hype too and spent a lot of effort getting it so I'm more disappointed :( I mean I like the look of the bag but it probably wasn't worth the sleepless nights.

Love the colour of your bag, Jess321!

Thank you!! The rosa is such a beautiful shade of pink-so different from any other pink bags I own!

After using the bucket for a few days, I'm a little disappointed abt the leather. I had a chance to try my friend's bag out before I ordered it online but I only just realized I don't like it very much.

Wish the leather was slightly softer/more buttery.

:smile1: The stiffness of the bags is the main reason why I LOVE them! Its so gratifying to set your bag down and have it stand exactly the same way. I would never be able to use a smooshy bucket bag! It would drive me nuts!! :D One man's cure is another man's poison

my preorder from ps department still hasn't shipped! is anyone else waiting on their bags from ps? I'm getting a little frustrated because i ordered it over 2 months ago and it was supposed to ship in March.
I had this issue in December when I ordered and PS Dept told me the bag is ready to ship out asap..Then they said they needed a few days for inventory and would ship in 2-3 days. A week passed and still nothing. They said they need some more time. I waited for over a two weeks for a bag that was supposed to have shipped out asap. When I followed up again, they got really cocky and told me 'if its an issue we will just cancel your order'. So I said fine.. please cancel my order.

Will never use them again! I think they just take orders for bags they don't have and then try to source them.

I've been meaning to post photos of my newest MG, the tumbled rosa large tote. I was initially shocked at just how "smooshy" it was. It arrived in the box appearing completely deflated, as if it could have just as well have been shipped in a padded envelope.

I didn't really know what to expect from the stock photos, and I wasn't able to find any photos showing the tumbled totes on an actual body, but I at least hoped it would stand up on it's own without a lot of help. Sadly, it doesn't, but I am growing to love it more everyday. The color is gorgeous and perfect for spring/summer, the bag can hold a LOT, the leather is less prone to scratching than the veg tanned, and it smells AMAZING. Seriously, I am not used to owning new bags (I buy mostly second/third/fourth hand) and I couldn't believe how leathery it smelled, in the best possible way. I also LOVE the wrislet/clutch-it is definitely more usable than the bucket bag clutches since the leather is so soft.

That being said, there are a few more things about this style that I'm not so crazy about. The tumbled leather shows "lumps" much more obviously than the veg tanned-for example, I can clearly see the corners of my ipad when it's in the bag, and I feel the need to 'organize' my bag every time I want to use it so that flat items go up against the sides to hide any lumpy items. I'm also not super comfortable with the open top design, since most of my bags have closures of some kind. I no longer live in NYC so I don't need to worry about safety so much as everything spilling out of my bag when I'm driving :shame:

After using the bag for a few weeks I think I prefer the stiffer leather of the bucket bags, even if they are more prone to showing signs of wear. The tumbled leather is certainly gorgeous and high quality, but I own too many other bags with similar feeling material and I don't own anything else like the vegetable tanned leather.

I'm posting some of the photos I've put up on Instagram of the bag (and one of the wristlet)-I will eventually get around to posting all of the shots of the tote and my buckets on the mod shot thread, still new to posting the pics on here so forgive me if they don't show up :smile1:

Thank you so much for sharing pictures. I had no idea what the tumbled leather looked like in real life.

Me too. I prefer the bucket being stiff and holding shape over being soft and flopping. I do like soft bags though but not in this style.

So beautiful ! Thanks for sharing . Is this the regular? How do you find the size and how tall are you if you don't mind me asking? :) I'm looking to get the regular and am around 5"4 so would love to hear everyone's thoughts. I have the mini and find it a bit too small .
Yes, this is the Regular. I am 5'7'' in height. I find it PERFECT! I carry it to work everyday and it is so light and comfortable.

I have the tumbled leather mini bucket. I didn't order before this leather was available because I didn't want stiff leather. If you want the bag to stand up on its own, this is probably not the leather for you...especially in a tote or the large bucket. The leather is too soft...but that's exactly what I wanted!

I ordered from PS Dept. This was probably the day after the restock. It took Kat one day to locate the bag for me...it was shipped out from Steven Alan in Dallas about 2 days later, and I think the whole transaction took about a week. Sorry to hear that so many are having problems with preorders...it worked perfectly for me!

I had good luck with PS Dept (Lee), too! I knew I wanted the cammello color in a large bucket but wanted a neutral color inside. I think I was offered 4 cammello bags with different interior colors, finally settled on the antico. Took about 7 days for Lee to find one. I bought mine in the middle of Dec. for Christmas.
Must have lucked out with my timeframe!

The Venice location of Steven Alan was accepting pre-orders on Saturday for end of the month shipment. I pre-ordered a mini bucket in camello / royal. They also had mini buckets in brandy / avion, and some in black as well.
