Funny, none of my MGs have ever come with a box-I had a total of 8 in all!!
Mine neither. I think they started this in maybe December? I imagine it was in response to all the complaints about how they were being shipped before that.

Gahhh the little tie loop on my large backpack popped off after just one week of use!Maybe the quality IS going down...I am hoping that their customer support can help somewhat or else I am going to have to pay even more money to get it fixed locally. Anyone have any tips for bag repair?

That's no fun! I have found MG's customer service very helpful. I had a white calf bag that had some stitching issues and they replaced it with a new one.
Good to know! I feel like I could sew it myself but that it would be as durable or professional. I feel like if I paid for fine craftsmanship that's what I should get :-/
I would take your bag to a good cobbler...it won't cost much and they have the proper thread and needles. Be good as new.......................

I'm with you, my canvas bucket was a last minute desperate pick because everything was selling out. I got the navy and going for the mini in pink in May when they restock
I know, me too, but I think that it may be more on NAP's part. PSDept has been good to me otherwise... BUT STILL. This was a birthday present to myself. I was expecting it a little early, but now it may be late. I know I'm whining but I JUST WANT MY BAGGG
My box was the perfect size - maybe because it's a mini. Boxes are safer in my messy closet. I think there's enough air in the box for it to breathe. I've had 3 LV bags in boxes for over 20 years and they are perfect. One LV left out ( and only used a a handful of times)had straps that dry rotted and I had to replace them.

First impressions: I realised that the vegetable tanned are much sturdier and arrived at perfect condition..the calf smells amazing but there are already noticeable stretchmarks on them. Will have to see which is durable in the long run tho!
Ps: Unfortunately they're not both mine.. I'm only keeping the black/flamma. Bought the flamma/flamma for my best friend's birthday. Can't wait for my pre-ordered calf lady bag!

MG said they would replace my backpack! I am just wondering if it would make more sense to just get it repaired seeing as some other folks had some bad experiences with receiving faulty bags

In my experience the CS takes care to maintain the company's reputation so I cannot imagine in they would take one faulty bag and replace it with another. Still, if you love the one you have, take it to a repair person and see what they say. If they mess it up though, I doubt MG would want to be held responsible for an outsider's work.
