Yeah could be vanity sizing..? I dont see why, I mean, no one knows what size shoe you're wearing unless you tell them! Makes me glad I didn't order a pair of pumps from BG in my usual 39.5...I almost did, then decided to be good and save the $....I saw them and tried them on in NM and they fit perfectly in 38.5! A full size smaller!

Hi Everyone, :)

I'm trying to decide what my proper size for pointy, closed-toe, all leather Manolo d'orsay would be. Do you get these in a size that's comfortable now (but if stretched, might be too loose?) or in a size that totally HUGS the foot now (slightly uncomfortable but not painful) so that when they stretch they will be perfect?

I'll post a pic in a little bit- they are gorgeous patchwork snakeskin in different shades of blues and purples, with a blue-stacked heel stiletto.

What size would you pick for d'orsays?

i'm usually a 40 in manolos (and a solid 9) and i got a 41 in my flannel mj's mainly because they were on sale and it was the last ones they had. lol. but they do fit. i put a ped in the bottom and a thing at the back of the heel and perfecto!

i should say as much as i am usually a 40 in manolos i think a 40.5 would have been perfect in the mj's so my 41s were only about a half size up.

It's weird - I was wondering the same thing too! Most of my Manolos are 37. but I was trying on the Campari recentely and asked for my usual 37 and it was HUGE. I needed at most a 36.5 which is strange, esp. since it was a pointy toe style.

oh my goodness, i was just thinking the same thing today! i just got a pair of patent d'Orsays in a size 38 and they were so loose! normally a 38 would be perfect or even tight. hmm...

I thought the same thing too!
Dior is doing the same too! I was always a 39 now im a 38. Its driving me nuts because I dont know what size to order online anymore!

EEkkk. I just ordered a pair from nm. Luckliy they are open toe sandals with adjustable ankle straps. I almost sized up as the listing says this designer runs small...we'll see..

Same! I have a pair of Camparis from 2 years ago that are a bit tight as 40.5, but the pair I just bought that just came in at Saks are looser and fit well at a size 40!

For me, I used to always have to size up at least one size so this is more tts for me.
