That's so weird because I couldn't decide on if I wanted the Manhattan GM or the Deauville! Can I suggest the Deauville? Or did you think that was too big? I personally think the Manhattan GM is gorgeous but the PM looks like it's missing something... I guess I just love that buckle. I say get the Trouville (or Deauville). =)

tr444~ any probs with the hardware getting scratched? how long have u had the manhattan? cos like 'Itsabagslife' i'm kinda worried abt the buckles! am a real clumsy gal!

suzie~ agree that manhattan has greater mileage, just not sure abt my abilities to take reeeeeaaally good care of it :)

sina~ how funny!!!! gosh, ur dilemma is exactly the same as mine only in a bigger version! :) i tried on the deauville - yes, i think it's abit too big, the SA agreed. Yes!! i agree that the manhattan, gorgeous as it is, there's something abt it that's not right but i can't put my finger on it. :)

I absolutely adore the Trouville and would buy it over the Manhattan PM anyday. I love it for the fact that it is so understated. I can see it being carried while wearing jeans, a business lunch, or out shopping. For more formal occasions, I think it would still work. But that's not to say that I would not accept a Manhattan as a gift!

lol I know exact same dilemma, only bigger! :laugh:
Did you make a decision yet? The Deauville is huge, and when I first started carrying it, my arm was sore the next day! :laugh:

I've had the bag since last september 05. The buckels are a little scrached, but not deep scraches that you can see. You have to look right at them up close to even see it. From a normal distance the brass is so shiny that the scraches don't really show. And I use it everyday and am always in and out of those pockets so it's taken some wear and tear from me.

I personally think those two are equally great looking bags ! I've got a Trouville and has been using it very often, it goes with everything and the size is great, i can fit everything in there ! I was thinking about getting a Mahatten this yr, my friend has one and she's been carrying it almost everyday and it looks great on her (even though she's very petite)....so i guess you should really get BOTH !! :D

tr444~ i see... the buckles are sooooo shiny and the clasps are so "smooth" - i love bags with nice, unique clasps! :)

sina~ LOL!! haven't made a decision. brought the hubby down to the LV store to see the 2 bags 'live' - he instinctively liked the manhattan from pics, and after seeing it for himself, he confirmed it's definitely nicer and commented the trouville looked like a big pillow! MEN!!! humph!! *no offence to trouville owners* - i love the trouville as well, hence the dilemma!

twinkie2006~ that's a VERY GOOD IDEA!!! mabbe i shd buy the trouville first.. then get myself the manhattan mabbe next yr or something *WINK*

That is hopefully going to be my new Fall bag. It's called the Hudson. They also have the Hudson GM, but I like the smaller one. I've decided to make my avitars the next new bag I want!! Gives me something to shoot for!! LOL
