When I did online appts for meatpacking in NYC, I was able to choose my preferred SA (this was a couple years ago). She was very nice and normal in person so I don’t know if I would fully worry but that’s just my one data point..
Thank you, my concern with online appointments is you can end up booking on a day your SA is off. I usually book directly with my SA via text. I am so close to my next QB so this is very concerning to me.

I think it’s fine to ask your SA what days they are off and explain that you want to know so you schedule it correctly
I coordinated my last appointment directly with My SA and then got an email confirmation of the appointment so he must’ve put it in the system. I found it a little unusual, but didn’t think much about it. Maybe they are cracking down on them making formal appointments.
There could be so many reasons behind it – tracking the sales people, organizing their schedule – if everybody has appointments on a specific day, they need another person to cover the floor, etc. I wouldn’t worry about it.

To put he’s name in the comment section. The online schedule only allowed me to book 3 days in advance. I was trying to book a week ahead so I ended up texting him back. So he did schedule me directly. This was very new to me.
I am assuming this has nothing to do with you. I know they’ve been upgrading their internal system. Perhaps sales people have a goal to have a number of appointments. Or perhaps your sales person wants to make sure that if a new client books, they do not get assigned to him at the same time he scheduled an appointment directly with you. Or any other innocent administrative reason. I would say you can even ask about it when you come in person (and report back to us). Have fun shopping!

@Mila11 I also think it is totally fine to ask all of these questions of your salesperson. Something along the lines of: when I schedule online, will I still be able to work with you? I really enjoy shopping with you. Or is everything OK? We always scheduled it directly. Will it be with you?
I will definitely ask. My immediate thought was “he’s sending me away” is he trying to get rid of me? I don’t have any reason to think this. I’m a good spender at H. However, I’ve only been shopping with him for 8 months. My last purchase was around $16k (jewelry.) being so close to my next offer has me worried. This just threw me off
