I just wanted to share guys. My home store is a high traffic store and it took me forever to find an SA that I clicked with. She took my wishlist and was really nice to me. After a few months with her, I get an email from another person (her title says supervisor) that my SA left the store already and that I can continue shopping with her since she saw that I have a few things on my wishlist. She was really nice in the email and was asking me what I want to get in the meantime while waiting for the bag that I wanted. So I mentioned I want few of the BdG love twillies, a calvi in rose azalea and options for apple watch strap. I haven't heard back from her yet, it's been only a few days though. I haven't met her yet since I live reasonably far from the store (2 hours on a good day).
Do you guys think she has more power to offer me bags since she's a supervisor? Crossing fingers that we click when we meet.
Yes if you click with them. Sometimes they can be far harder to please than a regular SA. I have a friend (in USA) who's SA is the SM and never been offered a bag yet and because its the SM she doesnt feel comfortable to change SA [emoji29]

I'm still pretty new to H and don't have a big purchase history. Right now I have told my SA that I'm looking for a full leather GP. He is very friendly and shows me other bags. They are nice but really not what I want now. He will recommend me different items, almost persuading me to buy things that I initially never planned to. And when I try to move the conversation back to the items I wanted, he will say that there's no availability.

I always end up not buying them because I'm someone who only buys things that I foresee myself using...

And hence I feel awkward whenever I go into H because they don't have what I want. I know SA don't get commission from bags so maybe that's why he is not very keen on selling me the bag I wanted? FYI my SA and I are quite okay, we make small chats and I think we get along pretty well. But I really don't want to buy other stuff just to get my hands on the GP.

I'm not sure what country you are in, but GP turns up on the website sometimes.

Is there only one store in your country? I can't imagine leather GPs are hard to come by and don't understand why you are being pressured to buy other stuff to get one. It's up to you, but I would not buy stuff I don't want. Maybe go into the store on your SA's day off and try with someone else.? This just doesn't seem right to me.

I went in to the boutique twice when said SA wasn't in coincidentally, but the other SA advised me to refer back to my original SA. And basically everyone kept telling me that there hasn't been any all leather GP coming in for months and that the size 36 is even more difficult to obtain! It's either My home store has some serious inventory issues or the sa refuses to sell me one. (I'm optimistic and try to believe it's the former)

Is it a franchise store? In my experience, franchise stores are really bad at bag inventories, but great on scarves and cashmeres. My local store was a franchise and I had not seen any Garden Parties in all the times I've visited.

May I know what's a franchise store and how it differs from the "normal" store? Or how do I find out if my local boutique is a franchise store or not. Thank you! This is also the first time I'm hearing this because I'm still very new to H.

There is a franchise store in Cleveland. They do not share computer information with regular boutiques, nor can the boutiques see your purchase history with a franchise store. From my experience the franchise store does not have the amount of merchandise and the selection that a boutique has. They are also selling non Hermes merchandise. Hope this helps a little

Sometimes it's shown on the receipt, sometimes you just have to ask if the store is a franchise or not. A franchise H store is not directly owned by Hermes FSH, but rather another fashion company. In Denmark's case, the old store was owned by Birger Christensen, a fur company that also sells Lanvin, Prada, Ralph Lauren, etc. Franchise stores are quite strict on inventory because they cannot return to Paris their unsold merchandise, and since they don't belong to the network of H stores, they cannot just call up another store in a nearby country and have an item transferred to theirs.

Franchise H stores are slowly disappearing these days because I think H wants full control over their stores; either H buys them or they set up a new one in a nearby location.

If you want to build a relationship with an SA, I suggest you don't make it in a franchise store (if you can avoid it), as your purchase history won't show up when you decide to shop in H stores in Paris or in other flagship stores.

My store is. Franshise store too, located in a department store. I don't get the orange paper bag but the bags from the department store when I purchase. My store only sells H things though. They can ask other stores for merchandise if not available in the store or from H warehouse but it is up to the store with the merchandise if they are willing to send the item.

I have been really happy with my store and been able to purchase both a K and B. The K I bought with only very little previous spending and not a great amount before the B. They also readily puts things on hold for me knowing until I can come to collect since they know I live 250 km away.

I think that any H stores will see that you are a customer if you use the items you purchased at other stores even though they can't see your purchase history. I have been treated very well when visiting Dubai, Beverly Hills, FSH and Sevres in Paris.

I'm making a blind guess that you are probably in Asia (maybe even same country as me) since you mentioned that you can't shop H online. I experienced something similar in the past too, the SA was not keen to sell or help me locate the items that I want, rather he will try to push whatever that was available when I visited the store instead of what I really wanted. After 2 or 3 times, I gave up on that particular SA and store entirely. I do not want to purchase items that I have no interest in nor do I want to be pressured to do so just to get into the good books of an SA. And boy was I glad that I didn't cave in [emoji38] Eventually I met my current SA who is so awesome and never ever push me to purchase anything that's not on my list and she goes all out to locate the items that I really want. I will suggest (if you can) to change your store, or the very least to change your SA, because honestly I feel that SA is not being honest. If you're not picky with the colour, I believe you should be able to find a full leather GP36 fairly easily. Good luck.

Yes you are right, I am from Asia. Today I went to a different H boutique after work. I looked really tired, super under-dressed and wasn't exactly in the mood to shop. I just wanted to pick up a bottle of perfume to cure this Monday blues (retail therapy) - and, lo and behold, this boutique's vibe is much more friendly and they didn't appear to judge how I looked. All of them smiled at me, and I really appreciate this because I never received this kind of service in my current boutique where I spent tens of thousands.

So, conclusion is.... I'm probably going to change a boutique and enjoy my H experience. Reading all your wonderful stories in tpf makes me wonder why I don't feel the same whenever I shop at H. Because to me, it's not JUST a handbag or JUST a piece of jewelry, but the whole shopping experience that I am missing out!
