I think that might've been the same SA who helped my cousin too. She was visiting from Sydney where the H boutique is super competitive there with very limited stocks. She bought a sparkly CDC bracelet along with the avalon blanket, also had to check out both items first and the SA gave us the :graucho: look and offered my cousin a B25. I just stood there like what just happened?? :wtf:
I live for this :graucho: emoji! OMG lol

Hello, I am very new to Hermes and I am struggling to even begin a relationship with a SA. My local boutique is extremely competitive (San Francisco) which probably doesn't help. I am not even trying to get any QB any time soon, I just wanted to start working with someone to build a relationship. I have made several small purchases in store this past year, mostly ties, cufflinks, and scarfs. Each purchase is with a different SA because none has offer their contact information for future visits. I am not a big spender and I only purchase items that I really love. Does that deter SA since I am not dropping enough money each visit? There are a few new ties and scarfs that I am planning to buy and I am considering a clic clac and some fashion jewelry as well but I don't know if I should bother with the SF boutique anymore. I will be in Vegas in 2 weeks, should I just try there instead?

Did you click with any of the SAs you worked with? Don't be afraid to ask for their info yourself :)

From what I’ve read, Vegas is now quite competitive and, like other US locations, geared to its own locals (you should check that thread to be sure) . If I were you, I would just keep going to SF assuming you like the general store culture since it’s convenient and local. Of course it would be good to hit it off with someone in particular, but steady, regular, and consistent spend in one boutique will eventually work in your favor. Helps if you are patient and not too high maintenance. You can also check your receipt to find the SAs name and look for that person when you shop. IMO, it may take an SA a bit of time to warm up until he or she is sure you will be a relatively regular prospect. Good luck!

Hi! My birthday is next month. Have any of you mention to your SAs about your birthday and if this has helped in getting a suprise (wishlist item)? I plan on stopping by on my actual birthday and spend the afternoon in the city while I’m there. If so, how did you bring it up organically without expecting too much?

A birthday generally doesn't make too much of a difference IMO (since everyone has one ), if you weren't close to the top of the queue for a bag already, a birthday wouldn't catapult you to be next in line. However, if you already have a strong relationship/profile, and a bag was already coming soon, a birthday maayyy expedite it slightly. Just my 2c, YMMV.

Thank you, Jbeans for your 2c :)
Probably not worth bringing it up. I’ll just enjoy the day with a little shopping!

I brought the topic up w/ my SA one time, and she reacted with an eye roll and said people use that and other milestones all the time i.e. push gift, anniversary, personal bday, kid's bday, dog's bday, she said SAs get it all the time, so it really doesn't make much difference.

I agree that SAs deal with these occasions topic all the time but I also think that it’s really depends on your relationship with your SA too. Some SAs love to create a special moments/memories for their clients (Not many but of course they do exist.) Some just too busy to deal with all the extra Shenanigans. I’ve seen/heard stories about how their SAs would go above and beyond or some SAs couldn’t bother with any of those.

I’m one of those that have a really good and solid relationship with my SA and her ASM/SM and by no means I’m a VIP or VVIP. I don’t demand that I have to get the QB or coveted items for my special occasions hence everyone do have their special days. My SA is the one who always ask for those days either from me or my DH and she tends to surprise us on various occasions if she can and we do appreciate that a lot from her.

You have an amazing relationship with your SA and she is lucky to have found you and your sweet DH :)

I think it depends on timing and your relationship with your SA. Like others said, SA’s hear all the milestones all the time. But if you are due for a QB and your bday lines up with it, you can certainly time the request.

That so great!

How do you determine when to contact ASM/Sm? My great sa just got promoted… she and i chatted about QB before she accepted the position… i enjoyed our relationship but i don’t know how to differentiate type of communication between my new SA and the ASM
