Hello all:

So I’m mildly freaking out. Lol. I’m probably putting too much energy in thinking about this.

But this morning my new SA sent me a text asking if I like the color pink. After a few texts back and forth he sent me the attached picture. It’s rose extreme.

Not sure if I should get excited or not….

But I should give a quick back story. I started shopping at Hermès summer of 2020, but only went to the boutique once that year. Had a great SA, and on my first visit we created my wishlist. Said that it can be 2 years before I would get an offer.

Fast forward to 2021, I only went to the boutique about 3 times early in 2021. Life got in the way and just didn’t have the time to shop. I did do a couple remote orders with my SA and I sent my husband to pick up the items. But either way my last in person visit was april

So now I have some time and my birthday is Friday and I am not working so I text my SA, but learned she is no longer with Hermès. The manager emailed me assigning a new SA but also noted they are low on inventory.

So I have been texting back and forth with my new SA this week about items I would like to see, just to make the most of my appt, a few jewelry pieces and a sweater. I did ask about a belt, but he said that they were low on leather goods.

Then this morning I get the text asking what I thought about the color pink. And he send me this picture.

Should I get excited or am I overthinking. Lol.

Btw, any way to identify this type of leather. lol.

It’s Epsom but no idea what item it is though my immediate reaction was a Constance of some sort (wallet or bag).

At first I thought it was a belt. But when I asked about belts I asked for black or gold. Lol.

My rationale side is saying to ask him why he’s sending me the picture and asking the questions about how I feel about pink. But again I’m not sure if I want to know the answer. lol.

This is a great time to let your SA know that you are a calm, rational, distinguished customer having a business conversation with a calm, rational, distinguished SA. Simply say, (if it is true) “I love pink, why do you ask?” Or, “ I hate pink, why do you ask?” This is not complicated.

it really surprises me how people don’t know how to have normal conversations with SAs when it comes to H. There’s too much overthinking and fussing and it becomes a big charade in one’s mind.
 
Lol, now I feel silly for even posting.

But as a follow up, I initially didn’t want to ask my SA what the item was because I have never met this SA before. My SA recently left and I was assigned a new one.

But since that last text with him, I learned I actually know my new SA from another boutique, not Hermès but a different fashion house. We are from the same neighborhood and he went to the same high school as my son. Lol

So I did ask him about the item, and he said I would have to wait and see until our appt. ‍♀️

Boy do I feel silly for getting all wound up….but I’m just happy I actually know this SA, I am excited to catch up with him!
 
I also wanted to post my honest experience that may be helpful for all the European gals waiting for their B or K. I put my wishlist (the classic B30 neutral color in Togo) in in March in a European store WITHOUT any purchase history and got an offer of a Bleu nuit B30 with GHW In November.

i don’t want to brag - I want to encourage you that it IS possible even if you don’t believe you could be so lucky :)
