Thank you for sharing your story!! I have been thinking about to switch a SA, but I am just afraid of being awkward whenever I visit the store. May I ask how did you approached SA2? Have you chat with her before making the decesion? :)

My SA never mentioned the amount that was needed to be spent (I realise they wouldn't be as direct as in Asia but still...) and claims my K32 is a subject to the right shipment...If only he was clear with me about the £ spend required (I'd evaluate against the reseller options lol)

There was one other customer during the time I was there on the second floor. Not sure how busy it was elsewhere in the store though. Sounds like I was lucky in my timing as I did not have to wait. An SA was available to help me right away. I went early afternoon on a Tuesday.

You are welcome. Well, when I went to H, I was actually going to buy a small thing that I like. SA2 approached me and helped me. When she rang my purchase she told me "not to worry because the sale will still be under SA1's name". Thus, the conversation about switching SAs ensued. And the next time I came back.. not too long after that conversation, I looked for her and bought something and asked again if we can make the switch..and she did it in the computer.

Question: I didn’t know that I would be interested in exotic Constance until it was just offered to me. Marine croc C18 matte... absolutely stunning. I am not at my home store and I have never previously discussed something like this with my SA she is away on vacation right now. Is it taboo to get something special outside of home store OR is this such a special offer that she would not likely be offended. The bag is on hold, it’s also quite$$ so I am thinking about it overall.But it is stunning. By the way My SA has done a great job with cool offers for me so no issues there. I know it’s my money etc, I was just looking a feedback bc it’s such an unusual offer ( at least for me it is) thanks for your feedback

Hi! Congratulations on a wonderful offer! I find that these situations vary by SA. You are really the best expert on the tone and expectations and how it may reflect on your relationship. Some SA's expect absolute loyalty whilst others are more understanding about an unexpected dream offer especially while traveling. Is the boutique offering you the bag in the same country as your home store?

Does your home store have a good volume of items coming thru? If yes then I would guess that the chances of your being offered an exotic Constance in your home store by your regular SA would be good if you decide to ask for one since you’ve said your SA has been very good about cool offers in the past. Other question only you can answer is if you bought this Constance you’ve currently got on hold, would your total purchases at your home store for this year drop below an amount that would possibly lead to your SA not offering you an exotic Constance this year? Again, no idea if there is a spend threshold at your regular H or how it’s worked with your SA so far. Just throwing possible things to consider. Sounds like you’ve been offered a gorgeous bag!

Agreed with @luckylove , when it comes to relationship with our SA which vary by SA, SM and boutique location. Everyone’s experience is different, only you know by heart what the outcome will be in this situation.....but at the end of the day, it’s your money and your purchase, you should just focus on yourself whether or not you like the offering vs what others or in this case your SA feels. I understand your hesitation, maybe it’s hinting you of something...:idea:
Btw croc Constance isn’t hard to come by these days. Good luck deciding dear :hugs:

Here are my two cents...I’m assuming you were offered this C18 as a walk in. That should give some insight into how easy they are to get and thus how easily it would be for you to get it from your home store. It’s an expensive purchase and would be appreciated by your home SA and SM if you made it from your home store. I don’t think it’s the worst thing you could do, but at the same time, it would just be better for everyone if you asked your home SA to get you that bag if you are serious about it. If you must have it, I’d consider opening a new profile in someone else’s name so that it doesn’t get mixed with your home store purchases.

Just chiming in to say there are some good responses on this thread.

If you are asking the question @mauihappyplace, I think you already have doubt about your SAs reaction. However only you know how disappointed you would be if you missed this opportunity "forever". We all know in any event there will always be something amazing from H and you've just picked up a lovely SO!

1.i don’t know about volume of items. It’s a relatively large store.
2.thus year I have spent t quite a bit on RTW but not 1:1 if that exists for Constance croc. I don’t actually know the threshold. I have received 1B last semester and 1 C24 last semester. I have purchased several other non quota bags
3. I just received my SO recently
4. Would spending for the year change. It should but knowing me probably just a little.
5. I emailed my SA but she is out of the office so I couldn’t run the scenario by her

Thank you guys for input. Bag on hold until tomorrow so keep the advice flowing.

I am by no means well versed in this at all. This is just my two cents. But, it's your money. You should spend it how it would best suit you. I don't know how difficult this is to come by at your home store. Would you be ok with waiting for it? And also, this doesn't mean that you wouldn't shop at your home store anyway, right?

Why must H make things so tricky?! :yucky:

Thanks for input. Actually my SA has never seemed annoyed or irritated when I have purchased outside boutique but just trying to be considerate of such a large purchase, commission etc. I will probably pass and see if she can source it since someone just mentioned they may not be that hard to come by( whatever that means for H) but I have until tomorrow
