I always receive the paperwork by mail a couple of weeks later. Tiffany is very good about this. I'm looking forward to seeing what you end up with.

I have to say I'm in agreement. The shape is nice and looks good on your neck, but the color is very pale to me. Get the one that makes your heart SING. Diamonds really do appeal to different people for different reasons. You will find the the one that speaks to you.

I just went through this process with a cognac diamond. It took forever for me to find the one that just spoke to me. You'll find yours! Congratulations!

I think the necklace is gorgeous! I hope you're able to find one that makes you 100% happy though! I really do think the necklace is beautiful, but your skin is so nice and tan that I tend to think a more saturated yellow would suit you better.

Thanks girls. I feel the same way, love the size but just to pale. Now I will wait and see what he can find me. Jewelry has been creeping up so high that I don't want to settle but thank you for the nice comments and advice.

Hi dialv, you can also contact the customer service line as well and they'll send you a pre paid package so you can ship it back without having to make the trip back to tiffany's. customer service can also look into their whole inventory and find you a vivid or intense yellow diamond....trust me between surfergirljen and I we have had our fair share of yellow diamond hunting and searching tiffany's inventory for "the one" if they find one in production or in stock in a store they can then send it to your local tiffany for your approval;)

Def don't settle! They will be able to find another one for you, call the customer service line and tell them your specifics, and be clear that you will not settle until you get the color you like. It will bother you as time goes on and you deserve exactly what you want!

Well, I spoke with my sa and he can get me a pear shaped fancy intense that I will like much more, it's a higher price but it sounds very pretty. I should have it in about 1 week or so. So excited.

I think the original is drop dead gorgeous and wouldn't change it for the world if I had it - perhaps you should send it to me while you're waiting for your new one....:whistle:

The pear-shaped one sounds gorgeous though. Perhaps I'd better see that one as well, just to make sure ;)

I've been shopping quite a bit for fancy colored diamonds and although I personally prefer the lighter colors on me your diamond pendant looked much closer to a fancy light yellow. It is definitely on the lightest side of Fancy Yellow. With your skin tone I think you'll love a more intense color, but I think the size looks very nice.
Hope you love your pear shape diamond- I love pear pendants! I'll look forward to seeing it.

I think the pear will be great. He is putting another loop in the chain so I can wear it at 15 inches or 16. At 16" in tucks in my t-shirt so that no good.

I agree with surfergirljen. The yellow diamond you originally posted/purchased is too pale. Honestly, when I looked at the title of this thread and compared it to your photos, I was confused. The diamond didn't look yellow at all. It looked white to me. The fancy intense one should be 100% a lot better in color. :smile1: Hopefully you'll like it when it arrives.
