Ugh, why did you bump this? Lol. I remember looking at this thread a long time ago, but I didn't know they had several other companies affiliated with them. Now, I'm wanting this Jessica Kriss Kross bag from their Osgoode Marley brand https://www.osgoodemarley.com/products/jessica-kris-kross
Such a cool shape!! I'm loving this from another company also linked on their website, Victoria Leather. Reminds me of Massaccesi designs!! Sorry to tempt you

Hi everyone,
I wanted to share my two favorite lines that are made in the US-
Graf and Lantz and Ian James. I just got a new bag from Ian James yesterday. I got to customize the hardware and interior color. I love supporting brands that are made here!

Just fyi, the Victoria Leather company is currently having a sale. It's an "every other day" online sale, where a different style is on sale, every other day, til this Saturday. There's also a 10% off code for any item on the site. Info is on their "about" page:
http://www.victorialeathercompany.com/article_title_a/256.htm

I am not associated with them in anyway, I just live near them. I was in their outlet store (next to their factory) picking up a leather zip coin purse the other day, and am heading back today because one of the bags in their current sale is actually sitting in the store, in the color I want, and caught my eye the other day. They're letting me have the sale price today, since by picking it up in person I'm actually saving them their "free-shipping over 99$" cost. If they let me, I'll have daughter take some pics in their store today. The cool thing is that they even have a "seconds" section when you first walk in the door, just like people say Coach used to have years ago at their original NYC outlet.

I didn't realize Victoria's was even mentioned on this site, but I will say that their leather ages well. I have a little zip pouch from years and years and years ago, that I'm convinced was made by them, found in my deceased aunt's possessions. I can't imagine how many years ago she'd bought it, but I conditioned it and it's just the softest thing going. But yeah, I was born and raised about four miles from Victoria's factory and outlet store. The bakery/store where our family birthday cakes still come from is literally about one football stadium distance away.

Oh, and when you walk into the outlet store, behind the main counter, they have a leather sewing machine, and a bunch of "templates" for cutting the leather for different bag/item styles. Also color swatches to pick your leather. It's a cool place. Very old-fashioned artisan.

And just fyi, that tulip bag that bellebellebelle19 posted above, is actually the one that's on sale this Thursday (a few days from now). Link is here:

Click on the Dec 7 link, and that's the bag. The math says it's 35% off that day online. I might actually look at it myself this afternoon, but it was a "triple zip" that caught my eye when I was in there last week.

Ok, so I got it. "Michelle Triple Zip" in red. I wanted it because:

1) Victoria leather really is nice. I have LV, MJ, Versace, Coach, and Coach vintage, so I'm not a complete novice to leather, and different bags and different brands have different advantages. The Victoria bags aren't flashy, but what does really stand out is the softness and suppleness of the leather. Soft butter to the touch. The only other leathers/brands I've ever felt this soft are lambskin, deerskin, two specific Puntotres bags I have, and a Linea Pell (spelling?) bag I once handled. It's not as thick as Coach vintage leather, but it's definitely softer. Just buttery. This bag has good metal zippers too. YKK brand, which is a brand Coach vintage often used.

2) It's a red ... a true red. The pics I took below were attempts at capturing it. The flash makes it too bright and light, and less flash makes it look a little darker than it should be. I give up. Actually, I guess the darker of the pics is the closest. It's a just a really true, pure red, and as I talked with daughter as we drove down today, it turned out that this red had caught her eye when we'd visited before too.

3) Darn it, I've been waiting for Coach to put out their classic swingpacks in softer leather again, but they can't seem to give up the crossgrain. I'm tired of waiting. This leather is softer than any of the Coach bags I have, and extra pockets too.

I'll post pics of the outlet in a separate post. Click on the pics to enlarge.

As for the Victoria Leather outlet, this is it. Daughter is standing in front of the outlet in the first pic, and the building to the left is their factory. (You can click on that first pic to enlarge it.) When we got there, I actually had to go into the factory building to get someone to wait on me in the outlet. Peeking my head in the door was exactly as I expected. Two women were working ... one sewing, I think the other cutting? Leather sheets draped around. A few finished bags hanging near the door, presumably waiting for new homes. ;) The other pics are from inside the outlet. It really is a true outlet ... a section for "seconds" that might have a crooked stitch or something ... another section with sales on bags or colors being discontinued. I picked up a zip coin case last week for 15$ in the same type of buttery leather, plus two pen sheaths today for literally 1$ each. I hadn't been in there in quite some years before last week, and now I fear I'll be dropping in more often. If you have any type of leather addiction, this place is lethal. It is literally on the way to my hometown, our family dentist, the car dealership where we get our car worked on, one of the banks we deal with, the place we get our wild birdfood, a bakery and grocery we visit. ..... I'm basically screwed. lol

editing to add ... Oh crap, those last two pics came in sideways. :-/ Daughter took those, so I guess I'll blame her? ;) Sorry about that, though.
