Hi, kings!! Tell you what....if you get a couple of bags from The Beggar's Pouch and you don't like them, I'll buy them from you at double the price because that is what they are worth!!! Seriously, the leather is as soft as Bottega, and holds up as well as the old Koobas of yesteryear. I am the kind of person who changes out bags at least every other day. I have always done that, but since I got my Chatham, I've been using it every single day now for....well...over two weeks. A record!! I will, as I mentioned before, get a garnet identical style here any day now.

Hi!! I know what great taste you have in bags, so I am definitely going to order when I get home. I love your purple pick as well - happy to hear that you're enjoying wearing her :D

Very excited to feel this leather up :roflmfao:

so, speaking of made in America, i wanted to show this bag to you...i saw this bag in a local gallery of American artisans and really loved it...my husband saw a pic of it in my phone and went and got it for me for mother's day...i still love it, but, haven't used it...and I'm kind of irritated with myself about that...it's as though I've become a bag snob...and no matter how i tried to phrase that, i wanted to just say it and put it out there...i have been looking at the beggar's pouch bags and they are GORGEOUS and the leather is TDF...i love jane yoo handpainted bags and i love a lot of indie designers that no one has heard of....i want to show my husband that i love the bag by using it and i think i need to just use what i love and get off of the whole "it needs to have a name thing"....would love feedback...(please be gentle!!!)....
Hey, now! That is a great bag! I love the straps and the fact that you don't see any unnecessary hardware on it. It looks like it holds a lot of stuff but is still lightweight. Great find!!

Wow...I love these bags and cannot wait to order one. I recently ordered a bag from Victoria Leather Co and can vouch that they are also gorgeous, smooshy leather.

I also have Made in the USA bags from Lotuff Leather and Frank Clegg, which are beautiful and substantial, but much pricier.

Just curious -- did you ever get your order? Can you please post pics under the Beggar's Pouch thread if so?! Thanks!! :) :) :)

Here is the beauty of my Beggar's Pouch bag that is made in America. I just ordered a garnet Chatham bag from Mike and Debbie. It isn't made yet. They have to personally make it for me. When their beautiful handcrafting is finished, they will send it to me. I can wait for that for as long as it takes them because it is so worth it to buy a gorgeous leather bag hand made personally for me. Yup...I can wait.

The Beggars Pouch has posted a series of photos on their FB page showing all the steps that go into making one of their garnet red Chatham handbags! It's a bag they are making on order for a customer in Florida. These bags are REALLY HANDMADE!

I loved checking out these pics...and I'm really enjoying my 3 purses! I'm trying to decide on a color for the Chatham style. (Right now I have purple, olive, garnet colored leathers.) I wish I lived in NH and want to escape there again before I start teaching (after Labor Day), but I'm grateful for the time I was able to spend up there this summer. And this is my new favorite store. :)
