Not sure how many stores have the MTM rooms. The flagships definitely do. We had to go from our regular store (Meatpacking) to Madison for my measurements (SAs don’t do the measuring, a tailor from the back does). Once that was all done, I ordered my sweater with the SA (and our SA from MP was there with us.). Now, if I want another item, I don’t need to go to Madison anymore. Since my measurements are on file, order gets submitted and shipped to Meatpacking when it’s ready.

The gentleman helping me said the tailor will choose the color of the buttons to coordinate with the shirt so I didn’t get to choose my buttons. The silk material is also not amenable to monogramming, which is fine.

For choosing the scarf design, he showed me a look book of different scarf patterns mostly from 2023 but the one I had in mind was not in the book. It is a current pattern so he said let’s go down and see if it’s there. We went down to the scarf section, found the one I liked, and he went ahead and grabbed 5 of them from the drawer, took pictures and said he would check if the design will be approved. The gentleman was lovely and said he would just keep the scarves in his office for now. Once they are approved then they will send me the payment link. I offered to pay now and we could always change the design but he said no problem we can wait. He also said it’s possible to choose the scarf design when I return for the fitting, in case a new design comes out that I prefer more. I can’t remember the exact cost of the labor but I believe it was around 1500 or 1800 euros. He also mentioned that the scarves are not eligible for detax since I will not have them with me when I depart. (In my case moot since I have not purchased the scarves yet.) Once I have the shirt, then I can get the detax. He expects the mock up to be ready in 4 weeks, faster than I expected!

Overall an easy process. Just waiting to find out if the design I chose will be approved, which I think it will. I will have to return to do the fitting, and of course I don’t mind having another reason to visit Paris!

ETA: The gentleman just emailed me that the scarf design was approved and sent me the payment link. Easy!

My DH placed his order for his full suit order (jacket+pants) at the end of 2022 and it arrived mid 2023. By that time there was a price increase but my store was able to honor the old price about upper 9k (without digging up the receipts). We paid half the deposit initially and the other half when it was complete. This also doesn't include the price of the 2 (or maybe 3) scarves that was purchased separately for the lining.

I would guestimate if it was the jacket alone to be about 6k?

Hey all,

My local store is one of the flagship locations in Europe. I required a M2M shirt on Monday (a regular shirt, not made out of scarves) and today received the information that the only store that might be able to offer it (apparently they mean in all of Europe) would be FSH. Could anyone confirm this or was able to order a shirt lately?

DH just ordered a mens cotton shirt, but those prices are more gentle 1100-1600USD. The second pics are the button options for men’s bespoke. Don’t know if they are the same for women. Timetable for men is two months to get the muslin pattern in (which can then be altered to your body and changed). Then three months for the completed shirt. One change is payment in full at the time of the order‘s approval. (We‘re still waiting, but SA said close to 1600 bc of some special requests.

Wow! Love the button selection! Is button BTNC1290 a mother of pearl button? I know that Hermes makes some RTW with mother of pearl details.

For those interested, they now have a look book that shows all the scarves and the color ways of each scarf that have been pre-approved by Paris HQ to be used to be made into shirts. It’s a tunic style and I opted for a loose fit. When it arrived they had me try it on because there was some thought to putting 2 darts in the back to make it a bit more firm fitting but after further discussion we all agreed to leave it as is. We didn’t want to disturb the scarf design in the back.
