What's the basis of their rejection? They sound super lame. Either women who couldn't get in sororities and now are being mean adults OR they loved sorority life so much that they're putting it into effect as adults. (I don't mean to offend anyone who was/is in a sorority--but I hope you get what I mean....)

You don't have good ebay feedback and/or don't have any way of verifying your identity.

The membership is required because LVLU is trying to develope a status/reputation that is like ALVA, the members of LVLU get special "images" that certify that they agree to the terms of LVLU and if they are caught selling fakes, they're gone and get their membership revoked.

I guess the point I'm trying to make is that LVLU is trying is to provide more trustworthy sellers of LV on ebay.

My opinion as to why they are so strict is because they are trying to establish themselves as kind of like MyPoupette sellers. I think they're just trying to make sure that no fake sellers weasel into their midst, because people see the logo and for some that immediately establishes trust between seller and buyer, so they're just trying to create a safe buying environment. I wish they weren't more strict, but if it's good for ebay and helps crack down on fakes, it's good for me, so I hope they succeed.

I agree, it would be awesome to have another measure to authenticate items.
I was just personally hurt for being rejected :shame:

Ditto what everyone else said. It's a pretty helpful and nice group (reminds me of purseforum =>) but recently there has been an insane amount of drama and it's finally dying down.

The members of LVLU are very knowledgable and have been collecting for quite awhile and a lot of the members know stuff way early before the information is known/given to the public.

The application process has become sticter due to some trolls in the past but if you have a good ebay history (ie tendency to buy and sell LV) or if you have a current member vouch for you, you should be accepted.

Hi Jenny! I wonder if you can guess who this is... :P
Has the drama in LVLU died down yet? I quit the group a week or two ago and last I heard, they were moving to EZ boards or something? I don't know. Anyways, I'm glad I found this forum...I needed some more reading material for when I procrastinate cos it's kinda slow over at LJ, haha!

 I'm 99.99% I know who it is (your avatar :D ) but I don't want to blow your identity just in case. Welcome to purseblog Elle ;) , you're going to love it here so much!! Ohh and might I also suggest honestforum.com for your jean addiction? It's awesome there too and I swear these two forums along with LJ take away my study time, haha.

Yea, the drama has calmed down a bit and I think they've transitioned over to ezboard already. Aww I never knew you quit... oh well, their loss because you have an awesome collection!

Anyways welcome again!!!

Haha, it's okay Jen, I'm not trying to hide or anything. Just wanted a different username and this was all I can think of since plain old "Lulu" was taken.

As for the drama on LVLU...let's just say there is a group of ladies who simply do not know how to play nice!

 I was a member, but then some morons decided to accuse me of buying and returning bags *rolleyes*. So I left, however it seems that the people who were getting on my case did some crap and I think one got banned. A member said that people were saying I should come back, and that the owner or ringleader or w/e said I was welcomed there again, but I don't need that kind of drama. It was a cool place to discuss bags, but was just full of drama:wacko:
