Hi all, just wanted to thank you all for your help again. I ordered my first LV today, I'm so excited!! 
I actually decided on neither of these bags after all the debate, but the discussion did make me think about what I really needed a bag for. I decided that I wanted a bag that was lightweight (I spend most of my time hauling around a bookbag and a laptop, so when I'm just carrying a purse I want it to be small and light) and a good everyday bag if I was going to spend all that cash on it (I can always get by with a cheaper evening bag). So I ended up with the LV Damier Ravello PM. It's more than I've *ever* spent on a bag by far, but I do think I'll use it forever and I've been wanting a brown bag for a long time. Anyway, I'm really glad that I decided on this one and I'm sooo excited to get it in the mail! Thanks again for all of your help...if anyone wants to see the cute lil thing when it arrives I'll post pics!
