All you have to do is...
Make yourself known to the SAs, know at least one VERY well,(ask for their card) be sure to have all your purchases through that person, and talk oftenly about new items, something that they can interest you in,

as long as they know you well enough to know you what you like,
you're on your way...

also there's a sign if they send you a thankyou letter to your house, congratulating you on your purchase, that just means you picked the right SA to shop from...

Talk to your favorite SA, it's different at every store.

I'm working on that ;) I always make sure to ring in advance and see if she's available the day I'm going... Need to buy something this week to make myself visible  and see if I can get some info about the new stuff

WOW a thank you letter would be amazing, I could never reach that level of spending.

never gotten VIP status at LV ... yet.. but have already gotten there for Coach & Gucci. not so much coach anymore, since i've stopped shopping there as of late, but gucci still sends me stuff and invites/etc. eh. haha. i want LV darnit.

i'm sure it's really based on your SA. i've gotten invites a couple times for LV parties and trunk shows here and there, but nothing big (like getting free stuff that sell for HUNDREDS on ebay).

:D I got my first thank you letter last week, guess I finally found a nice SA .I don't purchase from anyone else but her, hope she doesn't quit her job anytime soon :smile1: .

To be an official VIP you do need to spend a fortune... & purchase ready to wear not only bags & accessories. But having a good relationship with your SAs can get you some VIP gifts occassionally. I haven't received any gifts but my SA took me out for lunch once on LV's expense. That was nice :p

Well as far as I know, yes, you have to spend a lot in LV to be VIP. Of course good relationship with your SA will help more too. We've always got invited to LV parties and receptions. And everytime when we buy things from any LV stores in US, they will sent us a Thank you card. Even stores in Hawaii. Hehe. And if you are VIP, make sure you let other SA know when you shop there, at least you will get a significant treatment when you shopped there such as sit your down and have a beverage while shopping. (Many times had I asked my SA to bring me mineral waters, the boutique was REALLY HOT).

D.

purchase ready to wear What does this classify as?

So, Khoi, are you a VIP? You seem to have a strategy.

I place a phone order from a boutique I've never been in, and received a thank you card. I've also purchased in person, and didn't receive one. So I'm not sure about the card thing. I think that's just SOP if the SA is diligent.

Wow in all my days of shopping and buying Louis Vuitton, I have NEVER received a thank you card from any SA's. And I purchase from the LV store in Atlanta, and the LV boutique in the Saks Fifth Avenue that we recently had built.
