LV Suhali vs. Bottega Venetta

I vote BV. I actually do like LV on other people, but the Suhali is a bit stiff for my liking.

Just to confirm - We are talking about the square-ish tote w/ metal rivets all around it, right? 'cuz I'm not exactly sure... :P

yup, the square-ish one....I do think its a bit stiff....
Noriko...which bottega do you have? Is it with the suede lining? I like those better! The other bottega I've been eyeing (cause the Ball bag is pretty big), is their Campana bag (smaller one) in the black woven (not sure if silver or gunmetal looks better....what do you think)

Positives on BV Ball.,...stylish, has suede lining, plus I like the zipper. Down side is that it MAY be too big on short stuff like me. I also like the semi-structure this bag has....this style just makes me want to drool:p

Positives on BV Black Woven Campana...is smaller, can transition from daytime to night time bag. Down side, has NO suede lining, no zipper, just magentic closure with some other interior hook. Still, nice overall.

Here's a pic of the BV Campana.....just imagine it in the black version with woven, as opposed to this perforated beige one. What do you think out of these two BV's? (check out ball bag on BV site, can't seem to get it). Please compare the two images! (Sigh)....both nice slices of heaven:D

^^^yes, my BV has suede lining :D I love how it feels, the quality of that suede is just top shelf. I really dont like when bags have crappy lining, if the outside is nice the inside should be nice as well.

Soy, those BVs are cute, but I prefer the weave for Bottega bags. Its really cute, but it reminds me of car seats or something lol...like those racing seats with the perforated leather.

I think I'm getting closer to the Bottega, but which one? Read the above the dilemma, ....either way, the bag I get will be in the WEAVE! So so dreamy...the picture above is perforated, but they make it in weave too! (this was the only pic of the style I could get). hmmm, no lining in above bag....I really can't believe they didn't go the extra mile for it....the weave in this style certainly isn't a cheap bag or anything. The other on the bottega site, (the ball bag), take a look at the "inside"when you click....nice zipper and suede lining....however, not as transition as day to night as the bottega above....both so nice....one for now though.

Hi Soybean!

That Bottega Veneta is BEAUTIFUL!!! I have the Suhali in the "Denim" (Bleu) color, and it is wonderful, sturdy and versatile. However, as it is rather stiff and boxy, there were times when it would drive me crazy! So, I'm in agreement with some of the other folks vis-a-vis ... hobo or "box"! Also, the Suhali is a little more "formal". While I have carried it with jeans (the Bleu color goes well with jeans), it really looks better when I'm more dressed up in a suit.

Both are made extremely well. Every year, when in Italy, I go to the Bottega Veneta "outlet" (The Mall - outside Florence). Every year, I drool at all the bags (even though they are cheaper than retail - they are NOT cheap by any means!). I keep on telling myself "someday ..."!

If price isn't an issue, I would probably go with the Bottega Veneta!

CeeJay..."box" or "hobo", you are pretty funny! pretty true statement.....anyways, I have been giving it serious thought....especially with all the help from the thread.....I think I am definitely heading towards bv direction.....but with one? I have two in mind, the Ball bag vs. the WOVEN campana (the ball in the website pic, brown), and here finally the campana, but imagine it in black.... well, I actually am comtemplating the bags in either the bronze if its available...I have to call them up today? Since you saw the ball bag, what do you think of it compared to the campana here (mag. snap, no lining though, smaller) Heres the ball, campana, and another styled hobo
