LV Speedy B or B city or Givenchy antigona?

I'm a Chanel girl too but I love my bal city and small Antigona! The G21 HW gives the bag an edgier look compared to the G12. I hope bal would bring it back! Between this and the Antigona though, I prefer the Antigona. Its more structured look is more elegant, less casual and office appropriate IMO. I had a medium but the bag was way too big for me. My small still holds a good amount. It's mostly an arm/hand carry bag because the strap is kind of short. I see more people with Bals on the streets too so Antigona is more "special" to me.

I have to go to the givenchy boutique to try the sizes on for sure..I actually liked the size of the town at balenciaga.. Lol!
Decisions! Thanks for your input dear!

As I understand it you have dismissed the SpeedyB after trying it.

I think it all comes down to whether you want a smart bag (the Antigona) to fit in with a tailored look or dress up a casual outfit OR you want keep a edgy casual vibe with the Bal City.

You ask if the City is dated, but in a way I think the Antigona will date quicker once this wave of structured/semi structured bags is over, as it fits in with a lot of other very fashionable bags right now. However, the Givenchy still gets my vote because it's the most versatile and I can imagine this one going everywhere no problem.

Yes you are right :). Yup I think it can do workwear and casual wear With ease..thanks for your input as well!

Ooh I see ..I don't have b bags at all so I didn't think about the strap slipping off part..,thanks for the info! Well I plan to use the next bag for work so guess not too casual :) I do see ppl using the city for work too though hehe

Unfortunately, the strap slipping seems to be a common problem with the City -- although some people don't have that problem at all, so it really is a case of trying the bag on for yourself. I also have a Bal Town and don't have the same problem with the strap because I can wear it cross-body.

Thanks dear :smile1:I quite like the shape and size of the town and cross body is such a great alternative to have :D

Thanks for this. I have considered the Chameleon in the past but thought it was discontinued? Silly question about the McQueen bags -- is the skull padlock removable? The leather on those bags looks wonderful, but skulls really aren't my thing!

Sorry for being OT!

Also, what about the Givenchy Lucrezia? How does that one compare in structure to the Antigona?

That's true Fendi Chameleon has been discontinued but some reputable sellers still have them such as My Theresa and FR Moda. This is what I like about Chameleon. It's discontinued before the bag saturates the market. Lol. I rarely see anyone with a Chameleon and the shape is work appropriate. I have one and it's as strong as the first time I got it.
I have Givenchy mini Lucrezia. I think it's more boxy than Antigona actually because the corners are enforced. If you even choose Lucrezia, do not get the lambskin one. Those triangle-piping thingies will peel off. Find the goatskin one. I have it in goatskin and I thank god everyday for it (lol!).
The padlock in Alexander McQueen bag is removable. That's actually a working padlock! I had this bag and I have to say it's the easiest bag to carry! The leather is yummy, and the bag really light.
Some other suggestion: Nina Ricci Marché bag. Lined in leather but still with normal price for designer bags. I think this one might be my next. Lol! Or Givenchy Obsedia :-)

Wow, you are a wealth of information! Can we go shopping together? :p Thanks for all the info!

The lv speedy is a great bag and the strap on the speedy b is a great addition. Its lightweight and great for travel. The only reason why I don't own one is because I'm not into logo bags. Balenciaga bags in general are harder to maintain and the quality of the leather isn't as great as Givenchy bags. The Givenchy Antigona is a gorgeous bag but the small is too small as an everday bag for me while the medium is too big on me. Another option that you may not have considered is the chloe paraty. It's a very durable bag. I use mine almost everyday since I got it and it still looks new. The leather quality is superb plus it's feminine and edgy at the same time which I think are what you are looking for in a bag.

I agree with Paraty. I had one and sold it to get another bag. I regretted it, even though I don't regret to buy that replacement bag. Lol.

Ooh thanks for your input! I don't carry much everyday so a small I think is good for me..I have only owned the Edith but I could look into that as well. I can basically fit my stuff into a jumbo flap so I think the small should be enough for me 😃

Yeah I tried the speedy but just didn't like the print hehe
