I have a lot of patina on the trim of my black MC wallet, but the interior is the exact color it was when new. It appears to be vachetta on the interior but a little shinier. Maybe it's not vachetta, or is coated to keep it clean? Does anyone know? Why doesn't the inside patina. I know it doesn't get as much light, but you'd think the edges would change a little?

Well, since it's the interior it doesn't see sunlight as much as the exterior. I keep my speedy unzipped all the time, so here is a reference
The one interior tab is patina'd because it was exposed the other interior tab with the date code was under the flap and protected from the sun, therefore it never tanned. Hope this helped!

I appreciate the clarification, I know what you mean,, I like the azur print however I always worry how it would look with a dark patina,, I think it's ok with the monogram canvas as well since there is not much contrast in the colors. I guess this is a picture of an azur speedy...

I never saw an azur bag with such dark patina in person; I think it's ok (sure shows how much the owner loves the bag),,, well it's a matter of personal preference I guess.

If I were to get azur, I would simply have the vachetta replaced I totally agree with you, although I like the honey patina on them

LOVE this thread! Patina is so gorgeous. I've only had my NF for a few weeks and I think I see a little darkening but it's nothing compared to the lovelies in here. In fact, it's probably "phantom patina" because my dh insists it looks exactly the same as the day he bought it

I've been sunning her so hopefully I'll have something to show soon.
