We've been tanning. I like the patina the way it is right now. Wish I could preserve it. The owl likes it too.
I won't buy azur because of how they look with patina. I know some people say they look nice with dark handles, but the ones I see in real life with patina that might be pretty on a mono bag look really bad with dark leather vachetta against the light azur canvas. I borrowed a picture I saw somewhere to show you what I mean. Granted this person let her handles get really dark, but you can still see the contrast at the chads (where the handles attach to the bag and it's not dirty) and you can see how there is no comparison how the tanned vachetta looks against azur compared with how pretty it looks against mono canvas. Tanned azur bags just honestly don't look good in my opinion. I really don't even love them with honey colored patina. The shade just doesn't look good with the light blue and creme canvas.
Here's a picture of what I'm talking about (not my bag):

Agreed... DA looks better with a light-med patina

Wow I am glad I read your post
Very true saved me from buying one
Does look dirty
Thanks
I am considering getting my first azur piece, but unlike what I hear from most, I think azur will look better with a tan. It reminds me of a great pair of blue jeans with a crisp white shirt and a pair tan color boots or shoes. I think Azur looks funny when it's new, but I think I may be alone in this
Here is my 19 year old all vachetta speedy. I love her color...hope I age as well as she has!![]()
