Life is too damn short to worry about what other people think you should or should not be wearing/carrying at your age. You like it, you wear/carry it. End of story ...... That's JMO.:amuse:

That's just plain stupid. She should NOT care about what that sales lady said. I really don't think it matters what age you are for that baf. If she loves it she should get it!

I guess that puts me in that age group and I LOVE THE BAG! regardless of what the sale people say you buy what you like and what you trhink works well with you.

I'd say tell her to go back to that store and purchase the bag she loves and to enjoy it. Age is a number.

My sister is 42 and went to the LV store in New York and fell in love  with the denim bags. She has a few monogram bags and likes quality leather bags so this was a departure for her tastes. The sales person made a comment to her that " a lot of ladies over the age of 45 have bought these bags":amazed: and my sister took it as a insult because she feels she looks much younger than her age. So she got mad and walked out. Now she has in her mind that these bags are too young looking for her age-which confuses me  but I wanted to ask opinions if they will work for the over 40? I have not been to LV to check them out but my best friend works in the malll and fell in love with these bags.

I guess that is why we have so many, one for play to wear with jeans and something a little less LVLVLVLVLVL so to speak for work. Something a little more suttle for office. I guess it all depends on what you wear and where you're going to carry your bag.

I think it looks better on a younger person, because younger people tend to wear jeans and denim more. So, it'll go better than say with a business suit or something more "grown" up. I have a denim mini pleaty and I feel it's a good match for me, because I'm in college and wear jeans like everyday. Just my 2 cents. =)

If the bag does not resemble a plastic lunch box with "this belongs to.." or have cartoon characters such as Sponge Bob on it, then she is not too old for it. If she loves the LV, buy it and wear it well.

I don't think the denim line (or any LV line for that matter) is age-restricted at all! I've seen many "older women" carry denim and I think it looks marvellous on them. I do think that certain styles like pochettes look better on younger people though but thats just IMO.
