Not to further stray from this thread’s topic or stir the pot, but … here I go, wheeee!

First let me preface this by saying I’m not judging anyone; I firmly believe we’re all free to make our own decisions!

But if it’s a double standard to be OK with leather goods but not OK with exotic leather goods, then surely by that reasoning it is also a double standard to be OK with the consumption of cows, pigs, and chickens but not OK with the consumption of dogs, cats, and horses? Because I think most cheeseburger-loving people out there would be absolutely horrified to discover if their burgers were made from one of the latter animal types, or their luxury bag, for that matter.

Obviously I understand the history of animal farming and why society is OK with eating some types of animals and not others, but at the end of the day, both groups of people (those OK with “regular” leather but not exotics and those OK with eating some types of animals but not others) are OK with some animals being killed/used but not others. Both groups could be said to be picking and choosing where to assign value to animals’ lives, or where to be indignant, or whatever.

So all that to say … human beings are complicated and multifaceted and we’re all more similar than we may realize?! We all draw lines in different places for ourselves; we all justify and rationalize certain things as OK and others as not. And that’s OK. It’s nice to see healthy, respectful debate that causes us to think and learn and maybe challenge our own beliefs, and it’s nice to see consumers and companies becoming more eco-conscious. I think it won’t be too long before LVMH caves to pressure and also stops using exotics, but we shall have to wait and see!

Now to get back on topic … I’m excited to start seeing people’s Constellation pieces arrive! I haven’t seen any YouTube reviews yet, but hopefully they start coming through soon; I hope someone dives into the construction/application of the studs because I’m curious!
Can we start a thread on this topic? I would really like to explore this further in a place devoted to the subject as I am always having moral dilemmas about handbags and my love of real leather, my hatred of exotics and my love of living animals. Ugg, it's really brutal to be honest. I am happy to start the thread but would like to hear back if anyone else is interested.

And to add to this thread, I love my LV coated canvas bags. I use them for travel and think they are the best. I think the 2023 collections have some great offerings, including the super cute Christmas items.

I'm based here in the US and bought an item from one of the stores in Singapore. A friend went to the store for me and connected me to a CA. They were able to send me a payment link and my friend shipped the item to me. Also later on I saw in my purchase history the item along with the rest of my US purchases. This is more of LV doing their system enhancement. I"m glad I can see everything in my account.
Thank you! I will try to reach customer service USA via email. I would like to have it sent to my friend in the US and would pick it up this winter. if anybody has a CA they can refer me to, and whom I could contact directly that would also be helpful.
thank you guys! Regards from Germany
