They just call is coated canvas
But they always gracefully forget to mention coated with what? So the Monogram, Damier, etc… are all natural linen canvas on the inside, coated with literally PVC.
Coated canvas with PVC is the most durable material on a bag and on SLGs, I really like it and not sure why it’s a surprise for some people. That is why the bags stand the test of time

I got excited for a hot minute when my CA texted me a short while ago to tell me the cardholders (Wisteria and Lagoon) were available. Turns out it’s just Lagoon; Wisteria appears to be an Asia exclusive. I really, really, really wish LV would stop this. All the pinks… They never go to the U.S. You would think if they read tPF they would know there’s a market. It appears the vanity on chain and the Victorine are available here in Wisteria; just not the charms cardholder. So sad… Oh, well, they lost a sale. Maybe they’ll learn. Or not. But I do appreciate my CA looking out for me. I’m confident she would have loved to make a sale.
Ahh I know that feeling, I'm sorry! I heard back from LV Online CS and my in store CA, both say "it's currently unavailable online and in stores." Online CS also said "while we anticipate offering more of this piece in the future, we cannot predict when it will be available again. As we are not accepting reservations for this piece, we recommend checking our website for updates on availability". Region specific makes sense since all the other pieces are online in the U.S. Thank you so much for the update!

My dad is going back to Asia next month and I'm debating if I should ask him to pick it up for me. I wish LV released this cardholder here, and more items in this beautiful shimmery purple pink material.

It’s a card holder. They don’t care about people like us who’re buying slgs and normal bags…but they will treat you differently if you buy exotics and trunks
I hear what you’re saying, but I look at an SLG as a gateway for some into the brand. The other two colors are available in the U.S., so it’s curious to me the Wisteria isn’t, when I’m confident it would be popular here; I would love to know the reasoning behind this decision. I’m already hooked on LV, so for me it’s about owning a piece of a collection I really like in an item I know I’ll use. It that I need another cardholder, LV or otherwise, but… I guess this spares my wallet!

It is a wonderful material indeed. But I always say that is should be used in moderation. The Vuitton magic recipe is great PVC with a dash of high-end leather. But when it is no leather at all, it loses the magic :\

Hmm why do cheap pvc bags peel but not theirs?
Well, probably because they are cheaply made :)
The base material is PVC, but there are a few other ingredients thrown into the mix. Also LV applies an extra protective layer over the print that also protects the base. And they spent decades on perfecting the best blend and recipe for each product line. No wonder why it is superior to regular brands, and they also feel quite different when compared with a Burberry or a Michael Kors (yikes) canvas.
