I don't mind screen printing. But with these "paint on" effects, and with actual thickness, will the wear and tear be something to worry about? Say parts of the dots get rubbed off and a dot is missing corners....Ladies, let me share some canvas geekery. I might have mentioned before that the Kusama canvas is quite different from the regular Monogram. The brushstrokes are not simply painted on, but to achieve an actual 3D feel, the plastic top layer is embossed with them. But since they probably couldn't put these extra thick elements onto the finished canvas, they embossed both the strokes and the regular canvas grain at once. But this is where the twist comes, the grain pattern on these Kusama pieces are quite different than the one on the regular products. The regular grain is like hills and valleys, but the Kusama grain is flat with lens-like discreet bumps over it. I wonder if they will feel different, but up close they certainly look very different.
