That's a wonderful gift from your mother! And yes it's probably for countering bad luck since you're the year of the dragon.

Please excuse me, and no offense intended, but my husband is from Shanghai and he said the only way to bless or purify a Fu or Pixiu bracelet is to have it blessed at a temple.
If he saw that website he would call it a bunch of bulls**t.
Any Buddhist temple will do, no matter how small or large.

Just my 2 cents.

Interesting, I'll try look for a temple if it's better. I'm not sure my mom knew the right instructions to purify it. Thank you! :tup:
