Thank god it didn't rain in Paris, it's pouring in London! We usually have the same weather. I think the Queen's wardrobe was designed for early Spring, instead of Autumn, but she still looks lovely. Bless, the wind was blowing her hair though.

Yes she always looks wonderful and I love the cluster of bracelets she always sports on her right wrist. She seemed to have a bit of difficulty coming down the jet's steps with the wind blowing, trying to hold her purse and the handrail.

Just wanted to say a quick Thank you to Romegirl! You stayed up late last night answering all of our questions, for which I am very grateful, and much appreciate your kindness.

I have the same weakness for desserts and 2 or 3 drinks is all I can handle before I get very giddy!
Sigh, if only I was 20 years younger......a girl can dream.

Yes, it's from Kigali, Rwanda at a Commonwealth heads of government meeting and short tour welcoming Rwanda into the Commonwealth (not an ex British Colony, but joined recently of their own free will, as has Cameroon).

It is the lightweight ceremonial jacket for Tropical climes and dress regs describes the colour as stone.

A question for Rome Girl

The French officers were holding their swords to the side with the tip toward the ground. I noticed the same thing done by Lonach Highlanders during the Gathering. Is this a different version of the "royal salute" we saw Jonny do when he was commanding the Balmoral Royal Honour Guard?

Perhaps the clothes were for the original France visit in the Spring that was cancelled.

Looks like Jonny was looking after HM Queen Camilla at the Arc de Triomphe.

The ‘A’ team are certainly all there for their Majesties. Sir Clive Alderton the King’s Principal Private Secretary, Sophie Densham, the Queen’s Private Secretary, Tobyn Andrea, the Communications Secretary and Jack, the Senior RPO.
