If you wear them properly fit or with a belt, you shouldn’t see any crack. Too many women remember how they dressed in their younger days. I remember the 90’s as a teen lol! 😆
You can wear these and still look good as an adult now, if you choose to. No more thongs peeking out and studded belts like you remember. I’m throwing in current examples of low rise that look really nice and fit properly for you to see, and maybe you’ll find some new inspiration to wear low rise again.
The 3rd pic is the most likely style I would wear because it's the most like me and not too low (more mid rise). I don't wear jeans that are so skinny they are more like leggings (2nd and last photos). Honestly, the jeans that are ALWAYS in are straight leg-like these 90's jeans by AGOLDE.

The 3rd IS low rise from American Eagle. You’re probably thinking of super low rise jeans. Yes, they were a thing! I still prefer low rise, while occasionally wearing mid. I go by what I like on me, not so much trends. I’ll start my own trends 😎
