I too am short waisted, with a big bust, so high rise is out.
I can't wear the super low jeans but do prefer a low mid rise.
Anyone have good recommendations? I find them hard to find. A lot of low rise is the super baggy which makes me look huge.
I have the same body type as you and I like mid rise, boot cute jeans. I still love AG jeans and when I buy new jeans I like Mother, Paige and Chanel.

I love low rise and hate high rise. My favorite low rise were Paige jeans back in the days. They make me look slim and long, despite being only 5“2‘. Also I have a navel piercing which means high rise pants are hell.
Do you still wear them? If you do what brands?

American Eagle Outfitters is my go-to brand. They have many low mid rise jeans. https://www.ae.com/us/en/c/women/bottoms/jeans/cat6430042?pagetype=plp

American Eagle Outfitters is my favorite brand, they have sizing for every body type. They have exactly what you are looking for online and in store. If you are looking for a low rise fit try the ex boyfriend jeans they are straight leg. If you need jeans that are cropped, have a relaxed fit with stretch try the stretch barrel jean, they look and fit best belted. The low rise kick bootcut jean is one of my favorites, they fit exactly how you like ( a low fitting mid rise even though it says low rise) and come in all washes. They also offer low and mid rise skinny and jeggings which are a staple for any wardrobe. If you need help with finding anything on the site let me know https://www.ae.com/us/en/c/women/bottoms/jeans/cat6430042?pagetype=plp

What brands do you wear? Mine is American Eagle flare, skinny, and bootcut. Ooh I want to try crop tops with mine so it shows my belts. I’d love to see your outfits how you style this way with crops.

Same. Tall but short waisted and busty. If I get high rise the waist hits over my ribs or if I let it sit at my waist the crotch droops. Not a good look! AG (Mari for skinnies) and Paige (Sasha for wide leg) have been a godsend for me.

For lower rise, I have a pair of Moussey (think boyfriend style).

"Back in the day" (lol) I loved wearing mine with cropped, fitted shirt/sweaters, and cute belts. Sometimes just a hint of stomach would show, especially if I reached for something over my head. It was a cheeky little midriff baring sneak-peek that I was still was still young enough to get away with. I wore boot cut, flare, or generally loose cut so that it contrasted with the tighter top. I also had long hair which echoed the long shape of the pants.

Now that I'm too old (in my own opinion) to sport midriff-baring attire, I would still pair low-rise pants with more fitted tops, so that the definition of my waist contrasts with the width of my hips. Otherwise, low-rise can just look like you have a very wide waist.

I didn’t mean it in an obnoxious way. She has an unusually high and specific knowledge of the brand, offered to help with navigating the site and has mentioned AE in a couple threads. Influencers are not unusual on this forum. So it was an honest question.

Why is everybody ignoring my replies in my own thread!? This whole page is replying to everyone else’s comments but mine. Show me some love too

I think in general, the replies in the thread are in answer to your post or the topics raised in the post, so it's all showing love to the original thread and therefore the OP (you).

I can say that specifically regarding some of your replies, I used to have a few American Eagle jeans I think. If they're the ones I'm thinking about, they did fit me really well. I'm not sure if there's a store in my local mall right now. I know there's an Abercrombie and and an Aeropostle, but I'm not remembering any other "A" names off the top of my head. I'll have to look into it to see if there is one near me anywhere. I don't like ordering jeans online because fit is such an issue and I'm so picky. lol

Do you work for American Eagle?
No, I just like the brand and have shopped it for over 15 years. That’s probably why I know so much about it 😆

Oh I understand members are replying to the topic and that’s fine. I meant on the second page when I was replying to previous posts asking where people buy theirs, and my replies weren’t acknowledged but every other response was. It seemed kind of rude to get overlooked when I took time to answer other members question and nobody said thank you. I was trying to help, and felt like I shouldn’t have now.

Thank you for replying 😊 These are what the back pockets design look like for American Eagle jeans. How you styled yours (shirts, belts, etc) is just like I do too. I don’t know your age, but you can still pull off wearing those. You don’t have to wear crop shirts, just do part or full shirt tucks to show off your belt.

I can and have worn a variety of styles and rises, but probably prefer (slightly low) mid rise for comfort. Underwear is of course available in a variety of rises also. For a lower rise, I prefer a longer hemmed top; for a higher rise, a shorter one. In my neck of the woods, most currently available, fashionable, premium denim tends to be mid rise and not super tight.*

But, I have kept some pairs that are lower rise and slimmer (waxed cotton habitual brand and earnest sewn) bc I’m fond of them. Whether one can and should wear low rise depends on torso length (comfort) and a full length selfie (for some people with longer torsos, a low rise is not as attractive).

ETA: with either rise, I’m not fond of stretch denim bc it sags. I only buy denim that I can purchase in person, not on line. Bottom line, wear what suits your body type, budget, lifestyle, aesthetics. And, be sure it fits

(*ETA: Fashion of course follows the young. And, younger people — I’m 57, so this encompasses quite a few decades — have been wearing tighter tops and looser pants, mainly mid rise, even if they appear to be falling off the hips, for some time lol  A French tuck shirt (half in, half out works for a variety of rises and volumes)
Quoted for point of reference for my statement below.
Why is everybody ignoring my replies in my own thread!?
We are all actively responding to issues raised by your initial post. For example, my above post, is in direct answer to you even if I have not quoted you. Perhaps you are not being quoted bc in many of your posts, you’ve referenced a brand that responders may not be familiar with. IDK. In that case, they might tag another post as containing broader references or other points. If their reply post is still on topic, it will not be removed by a moderator. If you or anyone else has an issue with a particular post, TPF recommendation is to hit the report button rather than criticize or directly engage.

ETA: an OP starts a thread and initiates the direction of the dialogue. But, a successful thread often takes on a life and rhythm of its own, so I would not take it personally if responses do not directly tag you. (Otherwise you will go crazy on this forum, lol) This is not like a one on one conversation but a group dynamic. JMO
