Update, my bag is perfectly fine now. It was an off color at first but now it looks perfect! I feel bad now for saying it. I take it back lol

I treated my new Speedy 35 with the LMB protectant and they are still pretty light 4 months later. However, I noticed some dark spots on one of the handles that I'm going to try to clean off. I think it's transfer from my sweaters.Just received my first new Louis Vuitton a few days ago and have been doing quite a bit of research on whether to treat or not to treat the vachetta. I am glad that so, many of you have posted on this topic. It is really kind of scary either way, if you don't treat you can get nasty water spots, which I don't care for and on the other end of it, if you do treat your not sure what is going to happen. I am leaning towards treating it before I carry it. It sounds like for all the research that I have done and read, the the worst thing that has happened is that the handles darken a little with LMB's products. Could any of you let me know if this has been mostly your experience with LMB's right after treating or even over time have you had other issues? I would love to know as much about it as I can before I go through with treating it. Thanks in advance.

This thread keeps popping up at the top, and for new members especially, if they don't read all 100+ posts could be lead to believe LMB products are not good.
Recently, Just followed the directions on my Delightful and Artsy handles they both look brand new, Love this productThanks for your replies. I hope you can get the dark spots cleaned off your handles. Lovesbmw, how long ago did you treat yours? Also, do either of you know how often it is recommended to use the protectant and is that all that you used or did you use some of the other LMB's products as well?
I don't think LMB is a bad product, but I think it goes "off" at some point.
Used it brand-new on my Mono Eva clutch in March 2012 and had a fantastic experience.
1 year later in March 2013 I used LMB from the same pot on my Noe and the results were horrible - greyish, ashy, sticky film, flaking product and immediate, uneven discoloring of the vachetta.
It was so great when I used it on my Eva, I'd always use it again. But I will throw out and re-buy the product after 6 months.
