It's so weird that the bottom was ok but the straps were not..
My husband have done all my bags and have never had a problem..
He even did one of my bags doing the steps backwards..
Please let us know what they say..
No problem, I just sent the email. Also, I sent them photos of the straps and compared it to the light inside leather. So, they can see what the straps looked like before applying the product. Here is what I sent them.

I wonder if the vachetta had a previous treatment product applied? I have never had a problem with the LMB products except for a very slight darkening of the vachetta. I buff really well after application - no sticky or gummy residue or ashy discoloration so maybe it has something to do with that particular piece of vachetta versus the product since you had no issue with the bottom. Before application, was the inside leather and straps the same color? The inside is always lighter because it doesn't see sunlight.
The straps were much lighter before applying the product, the bottom is also dark now too but not greyish. This bag was never treated with anything prior to LMB.
Have long after applying the conditioner did you take the pictures? Maybe it just needs to dry more? I realize the may not feel wet but that stuff does soak in.
I do see how they look a bit darker but I don't really see the grey hue. I think all leather has variations and it's possible the bottom and handles were from 2 different cuts of leather. Maybe thats why after treating them they look different?
I think to most people this will not be noticeable, only if you are pointing it out. Sorry you didn't have a good experience, can you post a pic of the whole bag?

If Lv knows you have treated your bag on your own accord, do u think they would take on the responsibility?
On the positive note: it doesn't look grey to me... Really.
Ps: I am assuming Lv customer service, but I think u could be talking about LMB.
Update, my bag is perfectly fine now. It was an off color at first but now it looks perfect! I feel bad now for saying it. I take it back lol
