In the past the Lisbon store was known as a “Kelly and Birkin” store due to the ease of walk ins being offered a coveted bag but now have changed. It is still not impossible now but not as easy- still much less difficult than your average US boutique though with a little spending. All the SA’s there are very kind and patient with requests and are eager to sell.

Thanks! I am going to Lisbon this month. How much spending would be required to get a coveted bag offer as an non-local first time walk-in buyer?

Enjoyed shopping with Victor in Lisbon. I only bought a petit h charm as they didn’t have products I was looking for.

He was super nice ( and handsome) can I say that.....? Mods please let me know if I need to edit
Thank you! Going to Lisbon this month. Did you mention buying Kelly or Birkin to him?

Hi all

I'm based in Melbourne, Australia and headed to Rome, Florence, Venice, Paris, Lisbon, Madrid and Barcelona over April and May.
I'm after my first H product - Birkin 30 in neutral (gold/black preferred) with GHW. Can anyone help me with a SA in any of the above locations including in Melbourne?

Also when you do receive a SA contact how do you reach out to them and make the request? I'm not sure contacting them for a bag would work or does it?

Thanks a lot

I think your best bet for getting that first H product with no previous purchase history will probably be in Paris. I would definitely give yourself a good amount of time there, in case it may take you multiple attempts to get a leather appointment through the FSH lottery.

I’ve found that I also do way better going into stores and starting my own individual connections with SAs. I don’t think the SA’s respond in a very positive light of people trying to use connections to gain influence in getting one of their desired bags.

Maybe try your local boutique and enquire about colors you may be interested in. If your request is only one style in a specific size and hardware with only 2 color options you’re really limiting yourself to the point where it’s a little too narrow. While I wouldn’t advocate you getting something in a color/size you don’t love or couldn’t see yourself using; you’re asking for one of the most desired size in the two most popular color choices.

You’re going to be in a lot of cities where they have Hermes boutiques, if you have the time and ability why not stop in and browse. You never know when the stars align, you get along really well with the sales associate and they happen to have the bag in your specifications available.

Safe travels and good luck!

Hi

i am new to this Hermès forum. Can anyone share the SA info from NY or Boston?

thanks!!
I’m sorry for my delayed response, if neither of those worked for you yet you can always choose an SA in any state, even if they are not in your local area. Feel free to phone in and “interview” until you find one that clicks with you. For most of your items they will ship to you directly but for the Birkin or Kelly offer you will have to do that in person. My BFF drives three hours one way twice a year for her offers, other than that, she does most of her orders over the phone, staying loyal to one SA.
